Remove the PM, apologize for that and I'll get a little more civil. I've done that sort of thing before on another forum and while I think the situation warrented it, in retrospect, its not the right thing to do. I should have taken the fight right to the person in question instead of making it a point to humiliate them in a public forum.

Regardless of Murphie's intention, posting a PM can be taken as a personal attack and, at any rate, its not a professional thing to do. The past incident described happened because I'm rather defensive when people attack my friends, but I already had it out with those jerks, I should have just dropped it.

Your PMs were likely ignored because you were already on ignore, they probably bounced as a result, though I'd think you'd get a message about that that sort of thing. I'll lift the ignore if you want to send them.

I think I'm a little late to the drama party ... I'll keep my post brief.

I both of you guys, though I do heatedly disagree with BBQ on occassion and I must admit that half the time I'm not sure I understand Murphie's tone the way it's meant to be understood. You're two of my favorite posters here.

I did understand Murphie's post in the hospital thread as being the same kind of statement as telling a performer going on stage to break a leg. Given what's already been said about tone and sarcasm on the internet, I don't think anyone could be blamed for not getting it.

I'm glad to see that this particular dispute seems to have been resolved peacably, but I would suggest the two of you be a little more cautious with what you say around eachother and how you say it. What reads as a joke to friends reads as an insult to enemies, and given your unstable history together it would pay to be as explicit as possible with your meaning to avoid misunderstandings like this in the future.

Current situation notwithstanding, I don't see a reason to change it. Assuming the ignorer really doesn't want to hear from the ignoree ever again, there's no reason they'd want to know they recieved a message but it was immediately deleted, whereas from the ignoree's end it's the same as if the ignorer just deleted the message without ever reading it and then deliberately forgot about it, which is what would happen without the ignore list. Also, if the ignoree was determined to be a nuisance and got notification that the message wasn't really delivered, they'd know to make another account to bypass the filter.
