Do you guys every get strange spam emails where the subject makes no sense? All of them go to my bulk folder on yahoo but so I don't read them. My question is : Why would someone open an email that has the subject "Falsetto Uranium"? It looks like they just string along a group of words w/o any coherence.

Re: Strange emails
It has a higher chance of getting past spam filters, also if your spam software 'learns' it can serve to pollute the final results so that your spam blocker starts blocking a lot of legitimate messages.

Re: Strange emails
Also some people use e-mail bots to find & cataloge e-mail addresses. Basically they send a short nonesense message with a topic and message (to get past filters) starting with aaaa@serviceprovider, then aaab@...,aaac@...
and so on...
then the program deletes any addresses that bounce the message with a "this account does not exist" tag. Leaving them with a huge list of good e-mail targets to sell to..whomever..insurance comp...gabling sites...and other stuff.

Re: Strange emails
This seems like a logical reason. One thing though, I don't ever get any emails for gambling sites, viagra, or anything that makes sense. All I will get is the nonsense emails. Thanks both for the responses.then the program deletes any addresses that bounce the message with a "this account does not exist" tag.
