I just saw somebody else running around talking about being in a band, but I can't remember who it was.

I was in numerous bands throughout my youth but things never really panned out. I played bass and wrote some of the songs. Now that I have reached my mid 20's I realized that it's not going to work so I kind of gave up on the whole thing to concentrate on school and work.

Good times though.

I play music alone and sometimes with another kid, no one in our area wants to play psychadelic.
We did play one show, where we got on stage with a random drummer from another band there, and improvised the whole set. Got 3rd place (BotB lawl)

Why the hell do so many clubs insist that your first slot at their establishment be a battle of the bands and take place on like a Wednesday night? It makes getting started in the circuit a major pain in the butt. Once you've moved up and you get Friday and Sat. shows, you've already been playing a while and don't need the break. It's all so backwards.

every single venue books bands for weekdays
as battle of the bands
friday and saturday shows are saved for known bands

I'm happy cus we play friday and saturday shows alrdy
