I still have Ael. He's just my Aht Urghan mule for the moment. I'm already past the dunes on this new character tho, so no worries.

FFXI isn't going anywhere, so I'm not in a rush to get to whatever level. I'm much happier with my taru now, and that's what really matters to me.

I'm slightly fasinated by how you play the game. Everyone is always so wrapped up in getting to the end, and you seem to be able to completely bypass it (although you really do seem to enjoy leveling quickly). I envy that ability.

I'm sure I'll get more caught up in things when I get closer to endgame. But that won't be for a few more months, I think.

Right now I'm kind of hard core (for me) leveling with endgame RDM and BRD in mind. BLM and WHM leveled for subs, and then RDM straight to 75. Once I hit that, I'll take the time to level NIN and DRK as subs, and then I'll start to focus on BRD. Since BRD already levels hella fast, and I'll have one 75 job under my belt, it shouldn't be too painful.

The LS is in need of both jobs, so that's part of what helped me make my choice. Plus, RDM is a job that had really appealed to me for a long time, and I regret not finishing BRD on my old character on Seraph, so this is my chance to get some closure.

Or something.

It's going to have to do. I tried to get one sitting next to a Cactaur, but as soon as I sat down he agroed me. Guess he wasn't too into the fireworks.
