The R2 statistic represents the proportion of variance in the dependent variable, explained by the regression (we can explain 47.9% of the variance in number of procs using our knowledge of MND, enfeebling skill, casting with a HQ staff, and duration). As the R2 is significant at p≤0.001, there is less than a 1 in 1000 chance the results found in this model are due to chance alone
Well, I do know that the variance is the square of standard deviation, so that would account for the difference in the sample points in the data. The larger the difference, the larger the standard deviation and variance.
