    You know, Balfree, out of ALL the desktops I've seen, you're the first person to use Military time on your clock. heh

        European clocks have 24 hours in them, no such thing as AM/PM here, atleast not as common, i do know the UK also uses 12 hour clock, but theyre allways the odd one in europe anyway

          The U.K people are even more wierd then that, they use both 12h as well as 24h depending on what you work with (we don't call it military time here in Sweden we just refer to the diffrent types as 12h/24h).

          Heck I had a darn hard time learning AM/PM initially confused them all the time , now I can keep track of them luckily but 12h didn't make sense to me at first.
          Keep in mind, sig might be outdated I just update it a few times per week.
          Signature with the usual levels and obtained stuff etc. . .

            I wish we used 24 hour time over here. It makes more sense, quite frankly. Especially when you have things like people saying "12 noon" and so forth.

              Yea, i have a habit to stash melons in the trunk of my car, when i count them , i usually go from start to finish, i start counting 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10, not 1 2 3 4 5 in the left, and 1 2 3 4 5 in the right.

              It's all in the melons.

                All I can say - if that is the wierdest thing you think about us in the UK, we got off lightly. I actually prefer 24 hour clock personally.

                  I dont mean any offense.. but theres many things that i consider weird about the UK, one of them is driving on the right seat ._.

                        ok I admit it, we are...

                        My watch is in 24hour clock though when someone asks me the time I always say it in 12 hour clock version i.e. am/pm. as for your lower post about cars, well we did invent the first steam powered car and motor driven car in the late 1800's. As far as I know when teh first roads were built for cars it has always been drive on the left of the road, and driver is on right side of car so the passengers could disembark onto a pavement on the left. Australia, India and Japan seem to think we are right and drive on he same side as us.

                        Its the rest of the world that are strange

                        Also we invented the roundabout a traffic reducing junction that Americans have no idea about and France has their own rules on this which is deadly, have ou ever tried driving aroudn teh one at the Arc de Triumph?

                            Thankfully the only roundabouts I've experienced have been in Boston. Not that those are any fun, mind you, but they could be a lot worse.

                              You would hate where I live then - we, I think, have the second most roundabouts in Britain (beaten only by Swindon). I think last count we had 72 and they keep building more...
