I love the FFXIOnline community

Just wanted to show everybody some sweet, sweet loving.

I'm busy at work right now, sneaking in here as usual. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everybody here. My young cousin is joining the game in the coming week, and as I try to teach him about the myriad topics and general play tips, I realize how nice it is to have everyone here working together. I don't have all the answers, but I bet I could ask and sure as hell get an answer. I've never seen anything like this before.

I was a member over at "the site that starts with A" and it was mostly just a pack of people wasting time. But here, there are actual discussions taking place about anything you could think of. It just makes the game so much better to feel that we are all on the same team. And I haven't played since May (just a break), but I still feel like a functioning member of a greater thing.

Yeah im kinda new to this place still and to the game but this is the first website in which i can ask questions and not have someone getting on my case for being a newb. i thank you for the great and united online community keep up the good work

I never bothered posting at AllaK or KI myself, though gamefaqs is good for a laugh now and then. But this place is the best general FFXI community I know of, that's for certain.

As i've said before, to be brutally honest, I didn't trust Allakites to not ruin the place.

People that frequent Allakazham and other FFXI sites are always welcome to come here as long as they're willing to abide by the forum rules. It just so happens that the rules, when suitably applied, keep the majority of toublemakers away.

Honestly, i'm suprised how few problems there were after the split. I guess it was mostly that the people who were causing trouble had no problem with RMT, and while some good did stay behind, hardly any trolls came. I guess moderated forums turn them off.


I'm still incredibly thankful for the incredibly gracious welcoming we were all given by the FFXI Super-Mod team, as well as the Admins. And of course the forum regulars.

A lot of people turned tail the first time they saw a mod step in and say "don't do that." I kinda felt bad about it, but it's probably better to assume that the people who left because of that were the people we didn't want here anyway.

You're right, discussions here are generally more productive as the forums aren't full of trolls looking to become flamebait or flame others.
