[I don't know why everyone hates Myspace so much, of course I rarely get a friendlist invite from someone I don't even know. (Only 3 friendlist invites from someone I didn't know previously, all declined.)]

As for the guy the original article is speaking about, I would like to say two words: complete idiot. (YOU DON'T EVER, EVER, BEFRIEND SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET THAT WOULD HAVE A DESCRIPTION JUST LIKE 'LOOKING FOR FUN'! or the sort thereof.)

Unfortunately, I got friend invites from strangers all the time. Mostly folks who lived in my area, but still, I didn't know them, and based on their MySpace pages, I didn't want to know them.

And yeah, that guy was a bit foolish to think that some girl on the internet who was "looking for fun" was the genuine article. That's not to say that people like that aren't out there (because they most definitely are), but a little cynicism goes a long way towards keeping you from being robbed at gunpoint by some teenagers.
