Well, if you bank often interest acrues. Personally, I had 10k given to be by Onion Soldier, and a few newbs failed to steal from me to give me a few more thousand. I bought my color, boldness, and title with all of that.

The interest really does add up. I have over 2 million forum gil accumulated, but my net deposits/withdrawals from the back puts me at -6402 gil, which means I've spent more than 6K than I've deposited, and still have 2 million left over after a year of accumulation.
