Oh so you think our government is the only corrupt one out there? Stupidity, Greed, Arrogance, and Ignorance are not limited to Americans. No one in any country can make the claim that they are living in a society free from corruption or that there is not stupidity, greed, arrogance, and ignorance of some form in it also.

You can't place the blame on one country alone. This is humankind we're talking about, not individual countries.

As a whole, humankind has certain instincts: corruption, greed, ignorance, and almost all countries illustrate these traits to certain extents.

Wouldn't the fact that you think that indicate otherwise because the statement itself duly connotes an air of arrogance by considering your people to be better and then therefore connoting ignorance by lumping all Americans into the same basket?

2nd - Anyone in the world can be that without necessarily being American. Man is corrupt in/of himself.

Good-natured? Perhaps. But good? No. Any human has the potential and capability to do even the most hideous crimes. Your grandma? She could murder someone in cold-blood, so could a kid (just to show an example). All it would take is a bit of motivation to commit any crime imaginable.

A friend of mine from the US has a saying that Americans aren't stupid, but America makes people stupid.

I'm autistic, and a great deal of what goes on in the world makes no sense to me at all. For example, the other day on the news (I'm Scottish, btw), the headline was that the First Minister won't be supporting England during the World Cup. They talked about it for a good five minutes, interviewing leading politicians from both Scotland and England. To many people, this is important. I have no idea why.

I think this is the reason why I spend so much time playing video games - they make sense. Out here in the real world, I have very little idea of what's going on. I've worked in Government and I know how politics operates. Decisions are generally made by people who have no concept of what they are actually doing. People in general become so blinkered by their own self-interests that they forget why they are acting in the first place.

Now I want Magnetos powers so I can blackmail the Govt. into giving all it's citizens health coverage at birth. I wanna black schools into firing sucky teachers and paying the good ones Shaquile type salary. I wanna raise the minimum wage to a living wage so people don't need 2-3 jobs. I wanna ban cell phones in movie theatres and automobiles.. and DAMMIT, i want TV ala CARTE!!!!

Cell phones do suck. Incidentally I lost mine at the golf course yesterday for a few hours. I was freaking out, but more because it was so damn expensive.

TGM, not sure if the 'giving up' comment was directed at me or not. I definately haven't given up. I realize that that particular aspect of human nature is there, but I do strive to make the world a better place and will even be a doctor here in a few years.

Side note, remembered they said in the video that internal documents were recovered that exposed what happened. Who in their right mind keeps these things lieing around? I'm not even saying this because I doubt it, companies do this crap all the time. Thats like recording yourself commit the most violent murder imaginable and leaving no room for second guessing whether or not it was you, and keeping the video, labeled "Me brutally murdering so and so". If you do something that bad....DESTROY ALL EVIDENCE. Are these companies trying to be caught?
