It really is, but my husband kept bugging me to get one (I still don't know why) so I caved and got one. The really only good thing about it is that I've found some people I used to hang out with in high school that I'd lost track of, and also found some people who were in my old Army unit. So it had that effect, I suppose, though I really didn't miss all those people to begin with. But I get tired of all those childish "OMG IF YOU DON'T REPOST THIS YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TRUE LOVE !!!!111!!!" bulletins, I mean, come on, who really believes that crap?

It's why I have a total of four MySpace friends. And I say "I hate this place" several times on my page. It's just because some people refuse to stay in contact any other way. Otherwise, I'd totally never use it.

See it can be used for good things like that. I think it's a great way for bands to stay in touch with fans and stuff too.
HOWEVER
When I hear kids at school say shit like "z0mg hay guyz no 1 added me on My Space yesterday wtf" I get pissed.
Who they expletive deleted are you that you're so great you need a website all about yourself for people to look at.

expletive deleted those stupid clubbing Growing Up Gotti kids and their MSs about how wonderful they are. You look like an expletive deleted and disgrace white people. You're not Italian STFU!
expletive deleted the scene kids and theirs too. You're pants are tighter than your g/fs and you spend an hour and half a day fixing your hair with your little sisters straightener. That's manly, yarly.

Totally your choice on the sig, just said it was disturbing. It's file size is unusually big for a picture of those dimensions though. That could be a little bit of a problem.

Well seems like it was a good thing I split this out, seems like it was just spiraling to Off-Topic Junk in general.

Nice try BRP, poking at a mod again trying to get a rise I see. Actions done to you were debated and agreed as needed actions. If you can't play nice then we have no choice then to take action.

I have a ton of emo/scene friends, and it's not that I want to make fun of them but eh idk.
Norma Jean has nothing going for them. It's oh sooo cool to wear a Norma Jean shirt. I'm not sure why that bothers me so much.

I'd like to point out that I have nothing against the site personally. It's just not my style. I prefer LJ, or Blogger, or Typepad, or any site that allows me to express myself via text instead of via a bunch of silly quizzes and photos.

Not that people on those sites don't do quizzes or post photos. But MySpace sort of lends itself more to that. And some folks' site layouts hurt my eyes something terrible.

On the other hand, it's a great way for people to find people that they may have fallen out of touch with over the years, such as High School or College friends, or old coworkers - so you know, kudos to MySpace for that, I guess.

Lol, Myspace is ok I think. It's template could definatly use some fixing, it's ugly how they broke it the way they did and trying to design you area with CSS on those horrible tags makes it a nightmare to do. Aside from that caught a lot of it's crashing issues being related to that goofy player they have, good idea but bad implimentation.
