You think UPS could get smarter people. I'm bulding a house and the bathtub for the master bath was ordered from some place in FL UPS just left it siting in the driveway diden't even tell anybody it was there.

on a side note.. i have a sister that works at UPS all they need is the number on the UPS slip and they know who delivered it.. if u want i can have my sister look into it and give u the delivery guys home address and phone number thats on the UPS records so u can send him a vulgar letter

Isn't that harrassment? It's probably illegal too in some way.

I don't think TGM is the type to take such revenge. However, it'd be sweet if she went on a Kill-Bill style rampage, and they made a movie out of it.

lol well technicly if they knew you got his address from my sister she would get fired. but thats why i wouldnt tell you who my sister is and instead relay the information myself =P everyone wins

Well no Kill Bill style rampage thats for sure! The first time I did some fancy move my bones would creak and my back would freeze up! LOL But I am going to pursue this. My glasses were 300+ and they ruined them! And I want them to know how badly this guy screwed up! Like I said, if my grandson had opened that door..........*shudders*

Why thank you for asking. I have a nasty headache and it hurts like s son of a gun to raise my eyebrows (like opening your eyes really wide). Still have a huge bump on my forehead that has turned a nasty blue/black and I'm applying ice to it every hour for 15 mins.

But worst of all........






this is just so absolutely horrendous...............







I am getting the worst ribbing of my life from family/friends/lsmates/and anyone who I tell this to!! Even the doctor/techs/nurses at the hospital were harassing me and busting out laughing when I told them how it happened! I may never live this down!

Oh fyi, the package contained a very heavy mahogany shelving unit that I was going to be putting up in my living room. Kind of having second thoughts now....with my luck I'll be sitting near it and it will fall on me again!!!

I'm sorry to hear about what happened.

Instead of hiding out and avoiding this topic, I'm going to stand up and say I am a supervisor at UPS.
Do NOT get me wrong though, I am NOT standing up for this particular driver. I admit, we have some very stupid and idiotic drivers out there.
Most likely, he wasn't the regular driver who does that route. Normally, they care about their customers on their route. It's the stupid cover and utility driver that take over (for the day, week, whatever the case may be.)
I'm extremely sorry for what happened.

But let me point out though, that just because one particular company "messing up" doesn't mean it sucks all around. What makes you think that DHL or FedEx doesn't do the same thing?

Edit: Oh yeah, I just remembered... when I ordered my computer corner workstation from Office Depot, their delivery people did the exact same thing, left it leaning against the front door. We had the inside wooden door open though, so I could see it was leaning ON the screen. :-\

Well I think this was the normal route driver. He's just plain and simple an ass. He's done other stupid things before like this. Over Christmas, he stacked boxes right in front of the door. When we tried to open the door to get out, the boxes got stuck on the railing and we had to go out the front door and walk all the way around the house to remove the boxes so we could get out. The funny thing is he knows that someone is always home, he's even stated this himself. He's just in such a rush that he can't wait that 30 seconds for someone to come to the door.

So interesting turn of events! I called this morning and said to the girl "I don't know if you're the right person to talk to but this happened...blah blah blah...and you guys owe me new glasses!" So she took down some info and said someone would be calling me back. So I go about my business and a couple hours later the phone rings. It was an insurance claim adjuster already!! Wow, that was fast!
