Ok...so I'm home and I hear the dog bark downstairs. I get up and go downstairs to the door. It took me no more than 1 minute, probably less. I open the door and BAM!!!! next thing I know I'm on the floor and my dog is licking me. Seems the UPS man decided to put a large package between my main door and my screen door. The package is 6 feet tall and has a solid wood shelving system in it, so yes it is VERY heavy. The a-hole decides to lean this huge thing up against my door so when I open it, it falls on me, cuts my head open, breaks my glasses, and knocks me the F out! All I kept thinking in the hospital was that I was glad my grandson wasn't over and that he didn't open the door! That could have killed him!

So ya, UPS MPK'd my taru rear.........REVENGE WILL BE MINE!

Holy crap. If nothing else you need to make sure that guy gets fired. I'm sure he was just stupid instead of malicious, but dangerously stupid.

Here's my advice:

Get a bigger dog.

Train him to maul anything that is brown and yellow.

For the record, I HATE UPS, they always do things like that.

Another thing I believe he did wrong, is that before he leaves something that large (not sure actual size) he is supposed to acquire a signature. (That's how it is w/ the business I work at anyways.)

Well I don't think there is a lawsuit coming but I do want them to pay for my glasses and I'm pretty sure my insurance company is going to want back the money that they spent on my hospital visit.

Geez, as funny as sounds that also sounds like something the UPS guy should get some serious backlash for. I mean he's lucky he didn't kill anyone this time, but what of the next time? I'd be after that UPS Man with a 2x4 full of rusty nails.

Heh, if you need a dog trained to maul anything in a brown uniform I have one. Actually he mauls anything in a uniform, almost got me too. Stupid guy that reads the electric meter decided to pepper spray his eyes once and he never forgot it. Sweet revenge too he ended up getting that guys shoes, the guys had to walk back out of the area in rock filled landscape to our front door to ask for his shoes back. He was a bit cut up from hoping over the fence like he did, served him right.

That really sucks though TGM wonder if that would qualify as attempted murder on the UPS guy.

I think anything with "murder" in it requires premeditation. At worst it's reckless endangerment or possibly criminal negligence. At any rate, an actual crime worthy of prosecution. Honestly, what if a little boy had opened the door. You don't want that to happen to someone else.

What a horrible ordeal!

I hope you feel better soon. The only things I've suffered via UPS was mis-delivery (and subsequent theft) of some packages and a limb being smashed off a tree...

Those guys better pay up for you.
