  • Out of curiousity . . . .

Started to wonder since I am part of the exodus that started 2 days ago from Zam.com, exacly how many new user registrations has occured over the last 48 hours here at FFXIOnline?

I have seen Feba (love him hate him, he is who is is after all) alone has referred 110+ people, I also saw a note yesterday about 240 registrations which surely has to be greater now.

I have mainly been silent and lurked for 24 hours now trying to get a feel for the community and I like it here more and more I must say . Been a long while since I were in a forum that wasn't a complete flame or slugfest no matter if you posted something helpful or not.
Keep in mind, sig might be outdated I just update it a few times per week.
Signature with the usual levels and obtained stuff etc. . .

OK I still try to figure out everything in this Board, havn't used a vBulletin since back in 2003 , and they weren't this advanced and had this many features back then.

And 630 that is a quite massive amount of people in such short time.

P.S You really have too many diffrent forum categories, I get lost and don't know where to post stuff at times , thanks for pointing me and this thread in the right direction.

We all learn from every mistake we make after all.

        np.

yeah vbulletin + PiNG & Akoysgin's mods do rock.

Did I mention yet the ability to search on all aspects of a user profile? I love being able to search on server (or linkshell for that matter) and see who's on the same one as me.

        Thanks Yyg!

Yes those parts I have noticed (well the search per server basis at least), if I remember that right it is based on usergroup and then retrieve username where group=groupID or something like that (havn't developed in PHP/MySQL since PHP4, almost feel ashamed of myself now ).

In my defense before I posted I tried to locate an Support & Feedback but got lost since the navigation still got me confused and somewhat lost. It is all purty and nice but so used to simplicity and scaled-down systems that the site lured me away in the wrong direction.

            Re: Out of curiousity . . . .

            Im also from Alla

Im amazed how clean and refined this site is! Not at all like the Asylum back at Zam.com! lol ;p

With all the new members who are joining from Zam.com, Ill be curious to see who stays behind and continues to post at Alla

Also with all the "true gamers" leaving, Zam.com will probably be reduced to troll threads dedicated to bashing and arguing ;p

The Asylum was an educated man's boards they took topics in the news, pop culture and w/e else happend to be around and disscused them proper like. Though the days of Totem and Smash are gone there still happens to be a few very good threads.

... Are we talking about the same Asylum?

When I went on there, must of the posts contained constant profanity and the topics were generally about... adult things... o_O

It is place which is NOT for kids! ;p

                  CRIMENY!

hope we don't make your server go on strike...

Think this month is going to be a large adjustment period for all the refugees. I'm still snooping around and trying to figure out all these newfangled doodads and shiney buttons. I will admit that it's really strange to see moderators... moderating.

i wish yall would quit tho, it really creeps me out, like i'm being WATCHED or something...
