Anacondas and pythons in general occassionally "bite off more than they can chew". It's when they eat a prey that is much too large for them to be capable of digesting. There have been other cases in which the snake will explode from ingesting extrememly large prey.

Now stop for a second, think about that, a snake eats a very very large animal, and then explodes, oh the visuals.

Anacondas and pythons in general occassionally "bite off more than they can chew". It's when they eat a prey that is much too large for them to be capable of digesting. There have been other cases in which the snake will explode from ingesting extrememly large prey.

actually their was a picture not to long ago of a snake trying to eat a full grown alligator or crocidle. not sure witch. but the pic showed the snake atually exploded or thought did explode. of course some believe the gator struggled an clawed it from the inside out til both died.

Some snakes also regurgitate their food when they feel threatened since it's more of a hindrance than a help when it's time to escape.
