I have to agree with yall. I have noticed on alla especially forumns like best and worst players or least liked players. I used to frequent KI and Alla til people even started flaming me or others just out of the blue and totally off topic. It seems a lot of people on there have a lot of hatred and judgmentalness to them on those. This one is by far better and I love staying up at night answering posts here. This one is by far the best out of the three.

KI and Alla is not as useful as ffxionline (IMO) I find more topics I can relate to here than KI and Alla. Most of them are bunch of drama Kings and Queens >.>

Yea.. there are no good guidelines and stuff there. :/ Dumb posts get either countered by people here, or deleted/closed. I use the KI since only recently for the FFXI Rendering guide, but i'm going to quote it right now to somewhere here, giving credit to the original writer though. The slowness of that site is horrible. As a regular but since long time player of Ffxi on Remora server, I'm kinda dissappointed to see what people we got on the server. Botters, you can't say that people who farm a lot, or don't reply are botters. If so, they really would have been banned from FFXI for a long time, i'm sure. Gilbuyers, same thing as Gilsellers. Same thing with gilselling-linkshells. This list should be deleted, and people need to realize that. There's always a chance that you might accuse the wrong person, and even if so, it's not your business if they sell gil or not, and put them down as demon's in such a list.

And then all the people like "ALL GS ARE CHINESE!!!" and all that bullshit. As if you have nothing better to do then finding that out. Best if you're just quiet, and play your game. Or are you not playing FFXI anymore with the intention to have fun, or because you're a FFXI fan??? Are you only playing to try to be cool, have something to say about stuff, or because you're in need of attention or kick on Online relationships? I don't want to say anything bad about online relationships, as people who are in something like that know theirself what they're doing and how serious stuff is.

I'm sorta surprised i'm not somewhere in the list of people with poor attitude or whatever, as I'm far from the most popular player on Remora server. But after reading this thread, I have a really big urge to change Server... even though it's not possible, and I doubt its a lot better on other servers anyway. What I like to tell you all with this post, is please. just have fun, play your game and stuff, and if you want to be cool or playing tough guy or something like that, do so in real life, to your classmates at school, your friends at the pub etc.

Hmm. Alla is very usefull in my opinion, a good database with FFXI information, with an easy to use interface, not a really slow site either (sometimes it is). Apart from the "forums" that are under each Item/Quest and so on, the normal forums do suck big time.

KI is VERY useful in my opinion. Without it those people would have to go elsewhere and some would end up here. It gives them a place to go and lets us be in peace.

Rarely ever go to KI but like someone mentioned I do have to agree their crafting section is quite good. The posts I have seem from KI there were just... Wow, flame war like I've never seen debate starts out ok then suddenly instead of being a debate of the topic they might as well be doing the "Your Momma is so ....." crap.

Alla is to slow, somepage which covers much of the same stuff that Alla's database has is faster and I actually think it's interface works better. If alla had any strength it would be in what ever 'gold nuggets' it's members posted as rare as they were between all the complaints and spam.

If they are coming here hopefully well be getting those members with those 'gold nuggets' and the mods will work on cleaning off the spam and other junk... Wow suddenly I feel like I'm a gold digger, that or a car wash employee cleaning off the dirt so the car shines.

Well hey.. the people had good intentions, and they did a very good job if you look at all those games they have so much info for. Somepage only has FFXI . So I use Alla as standard anyway. But I guess it doesn't matter. I think there's way too much drama about the Allakhazam site being sold to same company as IGE and stuff.

From what I notice, only the more... new members tend to be the flame-happy ones, flaming those who did nothing to merit the flame. Only in situation of lacking common sense (example: someone asking what a carmine chip is for, when they have a level 53 RDM), should a flame be used, I believe. Otherwise, people on that board are very.... harsh on eachother, yes.

But general rule there is ignore the flamers, think before you post, and don't bother with Rambus or Eldesomething (ESPECIALLY Rambus). Follow those rules, and you'll be fine.

I believe it's used to gain access to Diabolos on one of the CoP missions, I personally am not that far into CoP; I couldn't say for sure, but if I really wanted to know I could look it up.
