Note the article doesn't mention congress passing this riduculos law over a Presdential Veto so Bush had to sign the stuipd thing. Being the President of this all so lovely United States supporiting Freedom( or so they claim) President Bush could have attempted to stop it but doesn't appear to have so on that note i'm going to be mad at him for this stuipidity.

Honestly there is no way this law will ever be enforced on a small scale. A few of my co-workers were talking about this and from what I understand this law was passed to prevent the anonymous person from posting blogs, emails, etc to government officials, corporations, (in other words people who have money to waste on chasing someone down for criticizing them and making a big deal about something) etc, to able to silence those that publicly oppose them.

Far fetched... but scary.

Agreed, noone on the internet will know if you're lying about your real name or not. The government can just trace your IP and find out who owns the account that posted the blog.
Does the law seem stupid? Very much so. But is it really going to affect anyone here? Unilikely.

Yeah, reciprocity means they will accept the same standards you have set for yourself. (Often used for certain accreditations, i.e. the Bar exam for lawyers b/w states and such.) Extradite means the country will send you to the country where the crime was comitted to be tried in a court.

Stupid only explains a surface aspect. Ask me to explain the Patriot Act if you want to see an American get confused.

On one hand, I am glad that even tho the country was fiercly divided back in 04, we decided who our leader would be without any bloodshed. That counts for something in the nation with the highest murder rate, right ._.

Oh, you want ME to go into the PATRIOT ACT? Ha! Take a peek at the PATRIOT ACT II at the ACLU's site. Incidentally, that passed. I've done an 8-page research paper on it, and it's NASTY.
