What makes us human?

Curious to get some more opinions on this, so I came here! In your own opinion what do you think makes us human? Intelligence? Culture? Let me know what you think!

Not to sound negative, but the closest thing humanity can be compared to is a virus. We go, populate and area and destroy the natural resources there...then move on.

In no place, of any sort, will you find an animal that does such an act...or anything remotely near it. Intelligence is what caused this, then the other subsequent things that comes with it...Greed, , Power etc.

Of course, there is the whole 46 or 48 chromosones things you could say too xD.

A good reason why humans are dominant is because of our ability to grasp concepts that allow us to better change our enviroment.

Dont fool yourself by thinking other species wouldnt over run something if they could. The reason why other species are not able too is because checks and balances in nature ensure they dont. Humans do not have predators to keep us in check. We chased off the last of our threats millions of years ago with sticks and stones. Now the only thing that threatens us is... ourselves, natural disasters, and disease. Certain species of ants move from area to area consuming all they can killing anything they can take down, before moving on to another area.

A prime example of this is an alien species introduced into an enviroment where their natural factor of control is removed. They completely over run anything. Just look at what the goat has done to Australia or Kudzu has done to the Southeast.

Or unless you are asking the question in a different manner as in what makes us who we are. Then I would say our intelligence.

Us moogles don't seem to have nearly so much trouble coming to terms with what we are. Some say humans are really a lot like moogles in a way, but I don't know. Humans seem pretty weird to me, kupo.

An enlarged frontal lobe, and like said above, the nature to rape and pillage everything. Animals for some reason, kind of keep their populations and use of resources in check, humans don't. We repopulate exponentially and consume resources endlessly, not saying that animals never do that, infact they do now and then, but when they do they are usually corrected through some natural event or another species coming up and crushing their efforts, such as a preditor whiping out an extra mass of the population, while we continue to take free of the correction.

What does make us human? Who is to say we are human? It's just another word used to describe a picture. Some consider themselves humans, others animals, and then some of us describe ourselves as mere beasts. What makes one human that takes the humanity of another away? We are mere nothing but a small drop in eternity.


What exactly does make us human though? Put it simply, man's thirst for destruction.
