Yeah, except for people who bought H2s. Don't get me started on how much I despise those vehicles.

Damn, those things are ugly. Like a brick with wheels, and very limited off-roading capabilities. I kinda like the H3, its more like a land rover, but I cant figure out why they put in an in-line 5. Seems grossly underpowered for a hummer. Oh well, I'll just wait till I can own an original and crush everything in my path so long as my wallet doesnt implode.

I'm sorry to say this, but you Americans have it easy, your prices are not expensive at all they are really cheap compared to the rest of the world. I will give you the Uk example from rip off britain.
I have a 1.25Zetec Ford fiesta with a 35 litre tank (9.2 US gallons)
The current fuel rate at the moment where I live is £0.909 per litre which works out to be about £3.46 per US gallon.
In Dollars this equates to....
$1.60 per litre!! and $6.09 per US gallon!!!
so you wonder why WE complain when oil prices rise!!!!
for the other europeans that equates to 5.10 euros per US gallon and 1.34 euros per litre.
Our cost breaks down as follows
8% to the retailer.
3% for shipping
47% for the refining and production costs and a whopping 42% to the greedy tax man!!!
Fuel prices have settled now but after Hurrican Katrina this year, prices hit a record £1 a litre thats $1.76 a litre, $6.68 a US gallon!!!
I get through about a tank a week so each week I have to pay
(based on 35 litre tank) about £31.81 which equates to $56.20 for 9.2 US Gallons.
welcolme to rip off britian!!!!!!!!!!
so please don't complain about your gas prices, because you ain't seen anything yet, over here in europe we pay through our noses for gas (or petrol as we call it).
OK, but you also gotta compare how much you make compared to how much we make. Compare prices per capita.
Actually based on exchange rates, avg. salary in most of Europe and avg. salary in the States are pretty equal.
Yeah Jarre, I have a friend who was in Europe cpl years ago and he told me about that, thats just ridiculous.
From what I understand, the main difference in wages b/w US and Europe comes from taxes. In Europe, once you cross into upper class tax bracket, you pay through the nose. To the point where its hardly worth making more money.
