I live in Alaska. Let's drill. ANWR {Yes, please} The animal rights activists are retards. The animals effected (if any at all, it IS pure glacier, and it is a buttload of land for the few up there) can move about 5 feet to the side. I think they don't realize how much land that isn't used is up there by anyone or anything but ice, snow, ice, snow, ice, and snow.

Not to mention, it would be great for Alaska's economy, not to mention the US's.

BTW, most people up here seem to aggree.

I decided not to drive anywhere for the entire summer, because I'll be driving a lot this semester and I'd rather not hand over an arm and a leg for gas.

Apparently it's not that there are issues with the supply of crude, it's the supply of refined petroleum that is the issue. I.E. We need more gas refineries, we have plenty of crude...

Caspian, you live in the ft Worth area? cause that's how much our gas prices were.. But it's really cheap down south. Like from Cedarhill on down to San Antonio is cheaper than Ft worth. Pisses me off..

Agreed. As the gas prices went up a bit, the comedians started with the jokes. The political cartoons also. Frankly, I see no humor in it anymore. I think many people are starting to feel the same way. I think our government better start doing something or they will have one LARGE ASS angry crowd on their hands.

Have you seen the resent approval rating of the work that the public thinks the government is doing in Bush's presidency? It has a 53% disapproval rating, suppose to be the lowest ever recorded.

You reckon the affects on the US's economy will convey across to the UK? Not sure exactly what gas is here, but I think it's pretty expensive at about £00.80 a litre... Dunno, I'm not the one buying the gas

But I reckon my money for FFXI will be used to pay for gas... stupid parents

At least you CAN buy gas. Thanks to major pipelines being shut down by the hurricaine, parts of Detroit have run out of gas and Mississippi and Georgia appear to be drying up fast.

Well gas is up to $3.20 here now and they say it should be at least 3 cents more by Friday.

Lol, no, I live in Lubbock. About to make a trip to DFW here soon though, Stars season start Oct 8!

Yeah, I knew gas in Europe was a lot more expensive than in the states. However, in Iraq its supposed to be 84 cents a gallon.
And like I said, we dont have a public transportation system thats worth a crap here, unless you want to go downtown.

Yeah, Bushes approval rating is way down. Ofcourse, historically every president's approval rating drops throught the ground when gas prices are up. B/c somehow its his fault it costs so much.
