Gas prices

Welp, they were supposed to go up tonight. Supposed to hit 2.80 here. Oil is at an all time high, but according to most reports it doesnt justify the huge price hike we've seen in the last few months. Near as most ppl can tell, its really just an excuse to see how much we'll pay and how much profit gas companies can make in the next few months. I was curious what everyone else is paying. I read Hawaii put a cap on gas prices and set it at 2.74, first time I've ever heard of them having cheaper gas than us (Texas).

lucky you. Here in NYC it's already hit $3 for the super hi stuff (~$2.5 for regular).

I think I'm safe unless they raise public transportation prices. ^^

Yes, this is really the cart I ride except the tires I have are built for outdoors (and grey).

Now, I just gotta become a Darwin Award candidate by putting two Jato packs (jet engines) on the front of my cart and and fly down Pennsylvania Avenue (in front of the White House) like a podracer... Someday, someday...

And expect them to go higher now that operations in the gulf of mexico have been disrupted by the storm ...

I wonder how long this will go on before alternate sources of energy will start getting taken seriously.

The last time I checked in my little burb it was $3.00. I know that was a few days ago though so it's probably gone up.

I got a fwd email that said Sept 1 is supposed to be one of those "stop the pump" days or whatever. You know, where they ask people not to buy gas for 1 day so that the industry gets hit really hard in hopes of knocknig sense into them. /shrug I dont know if it'll work but anythings worth a shot I guess.

Gas prices reached 3.00 / Gallon here, I'm folding all my car related things, and I'm done for until gas prices go back down. It's time they used reserves. -.-; $30 every 2 days is not funny.

Agreed. As the gas prices went up a bit, the comedians started with the jokes. The political cartoons also. Frankly, I see no humor in it anymore. I think many people are starting to feel the same way. I think our government better start doing something or they will have one LARGE ASS angry crowd on their hands.
