        i read heminway's and stienbeck, but i hated both (leave it to teachers to assign these)..... and soon i have to read farenheit 451 (might be good... like things about the temp at which paper burns )

        my faves are :
        C++ Inside & Out
        a book about iaido (don't remember title)
        and Learn SQL in 21 Days (it's so thick i don't think i can read it in 21 days, let alone learn anything)

                Here are a few of my favorites,

                The Wrinkle in Time Series -Madeleine L'Engle
                Sophie's World -Jostien Gaarder
                Kokoro -Natsume Soseki
                Snow Country -Yasunari Kawabata
                I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings -(well anything by Maya [b]Angelou)
                The Bell Jar -Sylvia Plath

                Well those are just a few that I can remember that I really liked. I guess I read a lot especially in school, while the teacher babbles on about something, I'm just reading.

                      The Wheel of Time (series) - Robert Jordan
                      The Dark Tower (series) - Steven King
                      Dune (series) - Frank Hervert, Brian Herbert (wrote several good prequals)

                      What can I say? I like series. I like having to read thousands of pages just to get a good story (and kill time).
