Everyone should have seen this coming when he didn't show for the Beastie Boys induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (at least he lived long enough to be inducted)

He's been battling cancer... like... forever.

It's a big loss... but at least he's not suffering anymore. The guy must have been in rough shape.

This is making me feel old ... I remember their music being a big part of my life growing up in the late 80s ... and then seeing this guy's age as he leaves us makes me feel depressed that I'm only a decade behind him. ;3
