What TV shows have you been watching?

You know, we don't have a thread for this so I thought I'd start one. I don't actively watch normal TV anymore, I just use streaming, personally, so if the show is contemporary, I'm always at least a season or weeks behind, but I'm fine with that.

Right now I'm in season three of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Netflix has all seasons of every series, even the ones that don't count like the animated one and Enterprise.

Season three of TNG seems to be where all the internet memes for TNG come fromL The Picard facepalm, the Picard/Riker facepalm and the laughing Data gif. This feels like its where the series really started to hit its stride and of course ends with one of the biggest cliffhangers of the series in regards to The Borg. I'm actually surprised how many of these episodes I've forgotten over the years, but then, I think I stuck more with season four onward growing up.

I'll probably follow these seasons up with the original series. I've actually never watched all the episodes of TOS, but several key ones like City on the Edge of Forever, The Cage and Trouble with Tribbles. Growing up, my real exposure to TOS was the movies, particularly STII, III and IV, along with VI. I like to pretend STV never happened.

I'd actually been ignoring TV pretty much the entire time I was in japan; so I'm catching up on it now.

Caught myself up on Psych, House, South Park, Family Guy; currently rewatching Monk (I've seen every episode, but long enough ago that I forget the mysteries for the most part)

Next up, I have every MST3k ever. I only saw a few of these on tapes when I was a kid, so I'm really looking forward to it.

I just started watching Hell on Wheels on AMC. It's a good (possibly short-term) storyline and well acted, but the overarching story might be a little weak. I'll have to see where they take it after this first season. I'm enjoying it so far though.

Well, because of the above, I did get into Doctor Who. I was overwhelmed when I learned it started all the way back to 1963 (I'm one who has to watch a series from the beginning), but was assured I could begin at the 2005 revival. Albeit I'm only 13 episodes in; I can definitely see the appeal. For some reason I get a hint of nostalgia watching it.

Don't know if you get the latest xmas special when we do but theres a new Dr Who on xmas day here in the uk a special before the new series starts in spring. I would say though the new doctor (matt Smith) isn't as good as the last one (David Tennant) who along with Sylvester Macoy and his sidekick ace are the best Dr's, though tennant does pip McCoy.

Not really sure, but I think I remember something like that from a long, long time ago. And if it is what I'm thinking then the last thing I watched from it was a rerun of Heroes, and only the 1st season. Although I'm told it was better that way.

Eagerly awaiting for the next season of Doctor Who (in 2013... SADNESS), so watching the spin-off show Torchwood. Not much else. Um. Except... Top Model >.>;;

Boardwalk Empire (Thanks to the season Finale on Monday... I highly doubt I'll continue watching)

That's it. That's what I watch. I've stopped watching virtually anything on Cartoon Network.

There are some Anime's on my list... but many of them also have a Manga series that I would prefer to read anyway. Currently reading Deathnote.

Jarre is wrong. Matt Smith is the best.

Let's see. Of late? Archer, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Happy Endings, Once Upon A Time, Community , Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, True Blood even though it's terrible, and a lot of random stuff that isn't currently airing that doesn't come to mind right now.

Hes to fake for me Matt smith, David Tennant was able to be accross the board with all emotions and was entertaining to watch.

Just been reading about the next series

Apparently Karren Gilliam (who plays Amy Pond the beautiful red head) is leaving half way through the next series in whats supposed to be a tear jerker of a story and the doctor picks up another companion + the story of River gets even darker

David Tennant was a huge ham. He had Zany and Angry as emotions. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Tennant. But Smith has been an absolute joy to watch as the Doctor.

Also, I forgot to list Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey up there. Can't wait for both to return.
