I have hated the Steelers since I knew what football was and I love watching them lose. Don't really care for the Packers all that much but any team > Steelers.

Doritos and Bud Light are winning the commercials so far. XD

I'm making a point of not watching this actually. My dislike of watching football has finally surpassed my enjoyment of cool commercials.

The halftime show was AWFUL.

If you didn't watch it, don't even YouTube it. Your ears will thank you. All you need to know is that Fergie ruined Sweet Child o Mine forever, and even having Slash onstage playing the guitar riff himself it could not be saved. Horrible singer. Horrible.

Christina sounded all right, she just maybe should have had a teleprompter. In fact, anyone singing the national anthem should just in case. Because fucking it up is very very bad for your career. I also think they need to do away with a capella singing, it prevents people from going overboard with the oaoaohahaooaeoaoah at every fucking note. (They can still do it to some extent, but not quite as severely.)

As for Fergie, I'm still pissed about that whole debacle. My facebook exploded with insults, and you should have been reading the thread on BG, that was entertaining. I should have watched the halftime show on mute, with the light up dancers it would have been miles more entertaining. It gets 2/10 - 1 for Slash showing up, which would have been 5 if not for the fact that he allowed that abortion of a good song to take place, and 1 for Usher, who actually doesn't suck at singing.

While I agree that the vowel-based warbling needs to stop, killing off a capella isn't really the answer because then we'd never have this:

I just meant for the national anthem. Pretty much anything else is fine, but the national anthem should be kept with an orchestrated score. And it sounds so much better anyway - the music swells along with the singer's voice and it just sends chills up my spine.

Christina's version did not do that for me. I was just like, "Oh, good job with those lyrics." And at the end, I was like, "Um, okay." I want the SSB to make me feel like FUCK YEAH AMERICA when it's done. Lol.

Back on topic (that being the game itself)... I love my Pack.

Last night I stayed in Green Bay before heading back down to campus this morning, and it was just nuts up there. Fireworks were going off at 10:30 (pm), sounded like they were going off on the west side (where the stadium is) as well as in De Pere (rich city just to the south of GB). The west side is where the party was at, and the best thing is that it was ALL celebration... no destruction like you hear about in other cities that have a winning team like that.

Plus, with the exception of the half time show (I missed the Anthem, thankfully) which was a major disappointment (they needed someone better on the sound board honestly)... it was actually a pretty good game. I know a lot of people were saying they were hoping for the Jets to win over the Steelers because they'd be easier to beat, but I'd rather have a close game either way than a game that has one team walking all over the other.

Ya even in Milwaukee, where it got really rowdy and people were out in the streets partying, was relatively good natured. There was one fight where 2 people were arrested but other than that it was all good fun. I got to watch about 2/3's of the game before I was to sick to sit up. Even laying in bed I knew they won because the block erupted! There were cars honking, people screaming & cheering, banging of pots and pans, and fireworkds.

As for that scank Agulera, she should just crawl in a hole and cover herself. God has she went downhill.

The Half-time show left a lot to be desired as well. The Black Eyed Peas cant sing for shit outside of a studio where their voices can be edited and remastered. Slash and Usher were the highlights of the show in my opinion.
