Is it possible to be tired of something you have no time/emotional investment in? All I know is that right now, the Twilight movie promotions have gotten me free chicken strips, so I'm not going to complain that much. Its also been a gateway movie for women that usually aren't into movies about fictitious beings.
Who knows, maybe after this they'll be willing to see movies with elves, hobbits, wookies or aliens. After the first Twlight movie, my sister went to see Star Trek and enjoyed it. Never expected that to happen. What's next, Batman?

I am more tired of 3D movies.....Ive never seen a Twilight movie, but they don't seem horrible. Hell If you are tired of Twilights 3 movies, then I can't imagine what you think of Starwars (6 movies) Harry Potter (7 (well 8 but spliting hairs movies) Nightmare on elm street, Friday the thirteenth, Aliens Saga, The Planet of the Apes Saga (and not that shitty new one). I am sure I am forgetting some movies with a plethora of sequels/prequels or that just share the same name.
Oh and James Bond 23 movies or some shit, that is so irritating.

Why is it always a bad thing when kids get games that are for them or women get movies that are for them? I find it strange that young men feel movies and games should conform to some puffed-up male standard. I don't buy or watch things in media for the benefit of my image to other people. If I really cared about how people looked at me, I probably would have given up gaming in my teens.
Some people do give it up due to social standards. I don't really give a fuck if people think games are for kids.Comment

Note: I will not be going to see the 4th and 5th movie, nor will I be renting them. Don't forget the millions of posts on facebook asking "What team are you on?". The Twilight movies ARE terrible though. I mean, truly awful. Wooden acting, cheesy action sequences, sparkly Vampires, etc. It's just bad filmmaking. And yet with every release they make hundreds of Millions.
I will admit, I read the books. I had a quiet weekend and they were on hand, so I just read them. They are pretty hacky, but still much better than the films.
BTW I totally agree re: 3D films. Everything seems to be in 3D these days, and I'm already tired of it. I mean, where does it stop?

For a very long time, Hollywood saw teenage males as the Holy Grail of audiences so every movie was made with them in mind. Just read the other day that they're re-releasing Titanic in 3D... Now I'm pretty sure people will go see it, but if it is just a 3D upconvert it'll end up being even more 3D crap just for the sake of being 3D. I didn't mean any disrespect OP, it was more of a blanket statement that you can't really bitch about shit that is making money, because someone always has a different opinion. I have never seen the movies, and only read one book (i thought it was a book about apples because of the picture on the cover) I personally don't like it, but i know millions do.
As for 3D. I am sick of the over rated fad. Unless you start hologram type 3D movies where I can sit in the jungle while arnold fights a predator then I just don't give a shit. Besides when/if I go see movies I am usually on mushrooms, and the shit jumps out at me anyway.

Also, if anything, the comic book trend is only getting warmed up. Another Batman movie, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Justice League being talked up. Another Wolverine move is being talked about, there's Thor, Captain America and the Avengers, too. Who knows when we'll see another Superman flick, but WB wants to reboot that, too. Spiderman is already getting a reboot - though that happens every time Marvel fucks something up in Spiderman, even in the comics.Comment
