The trailers for it looked dull. The reviews for it are bad. So no, I didn't go see it. And I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I know what you mean. I never watched A:TLA back when it was originally coming on TV, but I watched the first season last week so I could be caught up when the movie came out. I really liked what I saw, and was mad that I didn't watch it years ago. I'll just say I didn't like the movie AT ALL, and it was bullshit that some theaters didn't offer a chance to see it in 2D since the 3D was crap. Thanks for saving me the 12 bucks, though I was kind-of already expecting it to anger the fans. I was also kind-of late into the viewing of the show, but it's already in my non-existent Top 10 list!

It was, in no unsimple terms, an absolutely terrible movie. Even people who don't know anything about the show are hating it, so it's not just fan-rage. The worst part is that it easily could have been a great epic film if it didn't have M Night Shamalamadingdong producing, directing and writing it. He basically ran the thing as a one man show and it's clear in the final product.
That final product being absolute crap.
The film was so bad that I felt absolutely compelled to buy the entire series on DVD (been wantin to do that for a while anyway) just to make up for the 12 bucks I spent to support this monstrosity of a film. Btw, if anyone else wants the DVD set, they're on sale half-off on Amazon for like 25 bucks a "book". Not a bad deal for 20 episode DVD sets.
