    Lost ending (spoilers ahead so don't whine if you read them!)

    Ok, I'm not one to cry at stuff. I've been raised to quash that urge and I'm quite successful at it. But god damn this episode!! I'd been dismaying at some of the episodes the past couple of seasons. They just didn't pull me in like other seasons. I have to say that this last episode was done very well. I cried like a baby......no actually, a baby cries softer than I did. And I did it in a room full of people too! I had also been telling our group that they were all dead and didn't know it for about two seasons now.

    Anyone else a Lostie? What did you think of The End?

    Never watched Lost, no clue it was ending.

    Question if you can answer it spoiler free: Does it actually create a decent mystery, or is it a cop out in the end?

      Well I figured out the story a few seasons in but it was pretty convuluted and there were a lot of theories out there. It was a good story but only a fair mystery.

        i just finished watching it a little bit ago. i heard about the theory that they were all dead but didnt know it but i didnt really believe it to be possible. i was obviously wrong and was kinda surprised. but just confused me more...so how are they all following the exact same story line if they are all dead. and why did they show the history of the island if it was all n their dead...just too many more questions lol

          Well.. Apparently they were all alive on the island, everything that happened on the island was real, but when they died, they all went to a type of purgatory. When the others died, they all started to come together in the same place. There's no track of time, so when they were dead, and the others started to come, it could have been years, but felt like minutes..


          But that's what was explained to me. I stopped watching midway through.. How did Locke become the shadow monster?

            From my limited understanding of the show, Locke himself was never the shadow monster - the shadow monster simply used Locke's image to deceive, and later on mind-screw with the people on the island.

                Yes YM is correct. The smoke monster could take the form of dead people and Lockes dead body was brought back to the island.

                  This show is so awful. Waste of 6 years.

                  Basically, the island stuff was all real, Jack dies, Ben and Hurley are the new protectors of the light, everyone shown that got off actually got off, and all the flash sideways stuff was purgatory where they all met when they died so they could move into the afterlife together. Or some crap. No one really know for sure because this show sucks.

                    well not 6 yrs....first couple seasons were good! i thought. wasnt till end of end of 3rd did it start going south.

                      Seriously, I stoped after 1/2 way through the 2nd season because ...fuck. I enjoy being curious and looking forward to the next episode but when i have 100 questions I want answered and they address one of them, and raise 20 more, the ratio begins to get skewed and I stop paying attention because I am an american with little to no attention span.

                      I mean, you basically have stated that they infact were all dead, and that it was a dream and explained everything and I'm still confused as fuck all.

                        Well it was about death, purgatory, good, evil, blah blah blah. It was more than that but I can understand someone with "short attention span theatre" not being able to sit through all the seasons. lol I personally enjoyed it though it did drag at times like most shows with multiple seasons do.....except Star Trek, its always fucking awesome! lol

                          I ....have to completely agree with you, i for some reason, can always watch star trek when it's on. It's actually quite concerning how addictive that show is. ds9, TNG, voyager, it's crazy really.
