I love MMA. The UFC and the Ultimate Fighter tv series is the shit. This weekend is a HUGE UFC fight. This Saturday we have Anderson Silva (he's a fucking ninja) fighting Demian Maia for the middle weight belt and we also have BJ Penn (another bad ass) fighting Frankie Edgar. Silva and Penn imho are so much more higly skilled than their competitors, they should win hands down. But whenever Silva fights, it's always highly entertaining. It's a good fight card. The 3rd best fight is Matt Hughes fighting Renzo Gracie. Both guys are hall of fame UFC guys, but are old. It still should be a good fight.

The problem with the UFC right now is that 3 of the 5 divisions have almost unbeatable champions. Penn, GSP, and Silva are just way too good and those divisions are mad stale. 8 months ago, I would have put Machida in the god tier category, but he showed weakness in his fight with Shogun.

HW is just a clusterfuck of a division lol. Brock is superhuman, but I hope carwin gives him a run for his money. Glad Mir ate it, I think he's super overrated. His mediocre boxing beat a sick Nog and now he thinks his striking is as good as his sub game. Carwin laid him out for that lol.

I'm not sure about Strikeforce. The fights tonight? is it on showtime?

I agree with you Ufgt, they are super powerful, but there will be someone to come along to challenge them, and that fight will be bad ass. Carwin can beat Lesnar, its possible...

There's no way Frankie Edgar will beat Penn. I don't think anyone in the LW div can test Penn's jab and his sick flexibility.

Maia might be able to beat Silva if they go to the mat early. Its hard to say though, Anderson's striking is just so good that he'll tag you when you try to shoot in. Maia is just going to be fighting all round to get inside and once in there, there's no guarantee that he'll have the strength to take Silva down. And Silva's clinch is sick, can end it quick with an elbow or knee.

Brock is overrated garbage. He's a good wrestler, but put him against someone who knows wtf they're doing, he will get dominated. Mir was STUPID, and knew this and failed at keeping it standing.

No one.. Penn is unstoppable lol.
A mans strength isn't measured by the size of his muscle, but by the size of his heart.

Give credit where credit is due. Brock is a giant of a man and as strong as an ox. Yes, his skills may be lacking (sub defense and strikes while standing being his weakest points), but what he lacks in skill, he makes up for by man handling his opponent. There is literally nothing anyone can do: if brock wants to take you down, he will take you down. And once you're on the mat, he can hold you there indefinitely.

His only loss came to Mir due to inexperience. He'll only get better the more he fights. The only thing that hasn't really been tested is his chin, but that's because everyone to too scared to get close to him. lol.

                  THIS.

Pwn, your fucking crazy if you think Lesnar is overrated. He was set to dominate the heavyweight weight class like Silva, GSP, and Penn. He got super ill, and that's the only speed bump. I think he's still way out of shape. Carwin could beat him if they fight in the next 4 months. If the fight is delayed until next year and Brock is back in shape, Carwin will get owned.

Re: MMA Sport of the present and future?

hmm I check Strikeforce site but it doesn't seem like they have anything going on April 6. The next even is April 17.

Maybe Kaufman vs. Hashi was mistaken, because I don't think Kaufman would fight Hashi again with her title on the line
after just 2 months winning that belt.

The only other Strikeforce women's MMA match that happened that I know that took place after Kaufman's match was
Tate vs. Frausto not long ago.
