I get so tired of people who say I am only disappointed because I expected Citizen Kane out of giant robots beating the crap out of each other. I wasn't expecting a cinematic masterpiece. I just wanted something that was as entertaining as The Matrix, Batman Begins, Spider Man 2, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, X-Men, Iron Man, James Bond movies, Avatar, all very good franchise movies. Transformers stole almost 3 hours of my life that I can never get back. It's the very reason I didn't go see Revenge of the Fallen, because I wasn't about to give it another 3.

PS: I've never actually seen Citizen Kane, nor am I interested in doing so. But the usual reply to any criticism of Transformers is stuff like "What were you expecting? Citizen Kane?"

That's a bit of exaggeration, although I can see how it might come across as that. I'm still sticking to my Godzilla argument. If you went in expecting anything better than a really cheesy Godzilla movie you would be disappointed, and Godzilla movies are pretty much the bottom of the barrel. I guess I just find it easier to enjoy movies when I have no expectations.

It's a shame you didn't see the second one though, you're missing out on the awesome curmudgeon robot. I swear he's channeling Cranky Kong.

This isn't boycotting though. Boycotting is when you refuse to do any kind of business with a certain company by refusing to purchase any of their products. Not seeing a movie because it's crap isn't boycotting. Refusing to watch every movie made by a certain producer is.

As far as the actual movie goes, I probably won't see this in theaters. I'll watch it though when it comes out on DVD.

It's like Godzilla movies, they're horribly bad films but can be a lot of fun to watch.

Then get rid of your PS3, Vizio and any Sony product you have and organize a movement of other people to do the same. You are presently not sending Sony a message that you don't approve, as this is a Sony Pictures film.

Bitching on the internet and still buying Sony products does not a boycott make.

You claim to be boycotting FFXIII, too, yet here you are in FFXI still grinding away for a Maat's cap, consuming other SE products and giving them money.

I am not boycotting FFXIII, I just object to DLC being a part of a single-player RPG experience. That does not mean I will never buy FFXIII, but since they want me to pay more than what I think FFXIII is worth ($60) I'm going to have to wait and see how they handle this. If they release proper expansion content, I'll buy the game new and the DLC

If its piecemeal like Dragon Age - I will not support it. I'm still not boycotting, just not supporting it. There can be a gaping hole in my collection between FFXII and Final Fantasy FFXIV and I will not be broken up about it. There's still two other FFXIII games anyway, we'll see how they go.

But how much would you like to bet you'll still get FFXIII anyway, despite all protests you've made? Most people in FFXI, for all the objections they had about add-on scenarios, still went out and got it.

I got it because FFXI is an MMO. A persistent world is never over. An offline world I have different expections for. I'll even cut Borderlands some slack because that's just supposed to be a co-op/multiplayert experience anyway.
