Just a gimmick, like those there moving pictures, and the coloured cinemah. Really, why would anyone with the least bit of class watch prerecorded actors when they could enjoy a live performance with real people?

I actually don't watch TV. Only occasionally go to the movies. Live theater is rare for me.

So that leaves my TV for games and Redbox rentals.

No amount of cool technological gimmickry is going to make a bad TV show or movie better. But then, most people enjoy bad movies, which Avatar happens to be. Yeah, go on and tell me how artistic Ferngully 3D is, how Sigorney Weaver's character is analogous to gamers and how the aliens are like how white people treated Native Americans and Africans. Heard it before, thanks.

At least when District 9 rehashed that plot, it was an interesting spin on it.

I saw Beowulf twice in IMAX. Not because I liked the movie, but because I reallllly liked the 3-D. Would I watch it again on Blu-Ray? HELL NO! Not even if they paid me to buy it. Would I think about buying it in 3-D Blu-Ray? Maybe...

For real, If you like DLP and I can't blame you for the size/price ratio is quite nice, but god my friend, don't get a mitsubishi!

I litterly have heard nothing but bad things about that company when it comes to TV's, and I don't mean i knew some guys once who got one and the tube went out.
No, I'm talking i've meet probably 20-30 people in the past 4 years that got Mitsu televisions and litterly had nothing good to say about it.
- Bulb went out after 2 months, 400$ out of pocket
-Fan came loose, had to turn the tv in for 3 weeks to get it repaired
-like 3 times I hear the f'ing processor went out, just shat the bed. 1 month down time
- one dudes HDMI input, litterly came loose and feel into the TV.

I won't shit you either, their pictures are usually on par with TV's twice their price, but in the end you still pay for it.

LMAO! Damn. I was looking through the reviews on TD and Newegg and that was the only thing that actually made me think twice about it (Which basically say the TVs are epic except for the sound output). I'm still shocked that my Sony DLP hasn't blown a lamp yet. We bought that tv from Circuit City about 4 years ago and they told us that within 3 years the lamp would blow out and we'd have to get a new one. They tried to get us to buy the warranty on it, which would be trash now since they closed LOL. The warranty would've given us a free lamp, which sold for CC for $300 a piece. You can get them on the internet now for half that price.

OMFG... the Asian actors in that movie were freaking horrific! Clint wasn't too bad, but the acting in that movie gets a D-. It would've been F- if Clint wasn't in it. So yeah, I guess Clint's still got it...

The first 2 DLPs (Toshiba) we had were around for about 3 1/2 years. We didn't get the warranty and sure enough some panels went and to fix it was damn near the price of a new one with labor. So off we went to buy another tv and hubby talked me into a bigger DLP instead of a smaller LCD. (And since I am a woman, I will NEVER EVER let him forget this! lol) So we got a 60" RCA and after 1 1/2 years the lamp went. At least, this time I talked him into the warranty. Guy comes out, doesn't have a lamp (even though we told them that is what it was when we called it in), and then he writes up an order and tells us to call him when it comes to the house. Call him, he comes out, wrong bulb, and he writes up another order. That bulb comes and it was the right one so we are back on track. Two months later the lamp goes out. Repeat the above process THREE MORE TIMES. Well with our warranty we had a "lemon" clause that stated we get our money back or a comparable tv after 4 fixes within the contract. Well we went down to the store and they pointed out the tv they'd give us. It was an even bigger Toshiba and it was again a DLP. Hubby looked at me with that "OMG IT'S HUGE I WANT IT" look and I just stood there and stared at him. After about 30 seconds, he turned to the salesman and said "Um...where are the LCD's?"
