True, however with the amount of eyecandy movies that are going around here as of late, I am afraid that it'll end up being a bunch of young pretty people with no talent acting together being pretty.

You did read the next part of what I said didn't you? I'm not condemning the movie before it has even came out and I'll wait it out to at least see what the trailer looks like before I even attempt to lower the hammer. If I don't like what I see then I just won't go see the movie or say anything else about it.

There was a disturbing list on some website I saw of people that they'd like to see play Peter Parker, of course Robert Pattinson was at the top of the list followed by Zac Effron lol. 3rd was Danie Radcliffe who I wouldn't actually mind seeing play spidey lol. I forget who was 4th, but 5th was Jaden Smith....Jaden Smith?! HE IS 11 YEARS OLD! There was another list that included nobody from that list:

Yeah, Johnny Depp signed on to do a 4th PotC and it is a go.

This is the first I'm hearing about a Hulk reboot. I thought Edward Norton did a good job playing Hulk lol, I think I like the 2nd movie better than the first movie by a mile. Not that Eric Bana didn't play a good Hulk.

I remember them saying at one time around the time that either Spidey 3 or Spidey 2 came out that they had possibly 6 movies lined up to do and that Tobey had signed on to do like 4 of them if I remember right.

How do you reboot something that was barely booted to start with?

Fantastic Four was just an awful property to translate into a movie in the first place.. The Incredible Hulk was much better than the first, so why start over with that one? I kinda considered that one the reboot anyway.

So yeah, not buying the Hulk reboot, he's been contracted for the Avengers, I don't think they're gonna let they're going to go around and retcon things they've already set in motion for The Avengers.

Its not a matter of Disney buying them out, either. Outside of the movies geared toward the Avengers project, they've just been throwing shit together.

The Batman reboot and the Dark Knight - those are moves WB takes time to get out. After Superman Returns, they want to keep the DC brand strong, something they've done with the animated features for Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman of late. DC knows they don't need a live action film every year to keep Batman good.

I think they also realize that Christian Bale is nothing without a strong cast behind him. Its not that he's a terrible Batman, but its the characters around Batman that have always made Batman a great comic book and, thus, great movie material.

When the movies forgot that, the movies stunk. Everything from Batman Returns to Batman and Robin sucked ass because itw as all about the Dynamic Duo and the villains. The reboots made them about Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Lucius Fox, the people in Bruce Wayne's life, the mobsters - they made it about Gotham City.

And that's how they're going to get around the loss of Ledger as the Joker. They might not be able to go back to the Joker after him, but they will be able to move forward and make great movies if they keep the focus where it is now.

The Marvel movies, save for a handful, have lost that. I think Iron Man did it well enough, it was well-done in Incredible Hulk, but its been a train wreck everywhere else.

I still think Spider Man 1 & 2 were amazing and that Sam was doing a damn good job. IIRC, 3 flopped because it was handled by Sony instead of Marvel Studios?

Regardless, I don't have a whole lot of faith in the studio anymore ever since they sold out to Disney. Iron Man 2 is looking freaking epic, but keep in mind it was also started before the sell out. Only time will tell.

Also unrelated but... I SO want to see an Assassin's Creed movie and to all the nay sayers, I say thee go watch Lineage on Youtube.

Because the first few Spiderman movies didn't have young, pretty people with questionable talent? The point remains, the article mentions that the next movie will feature "a high-school-age Peter Parker...dealing with human issues as well as super-human predicaments" and you instantly compared it to Twilight. When in reality, Spiderman has always been about Peter Parker trying to balance his normal life's drama with his super hero situation. The Spectacular Spiderman has been pulled this off exceptionally well, far better then any of the movies, so hopefully a new reboot will be able to follow suit.

And people always make stupid lists like that when brainstorming ideas for big name characters in big name movies. But none of them mean anything and most aren't even serious.

All three, as well as the new reboot, are Sony products. The first real, full Marvel Studios movie was Iron Man I believe. All of the Avenger movies will be all Marvel Studios, but for things like Spidey and Fan4, other studios still have the rights to their movie deals.

Why? Disney isn't going to change anything at Marvel other then giving them more money to work with while making their products. Nothings getting dumbed down, the comics won't be affected at all, and in fact we may see a revival of some of the older, popular Disney characters who aren't strong enough to get their own cartoon come back comic book form. Are you saying a new Dark Wing Duck or Gargoyles comic wouldn't be an absolutely phenomenal idea? Just like DC works with WB and hasn't suffered from it, being sold to Disney means good things for Marvel.

Ziero...Why so serious? I guess I'll have to leave all the sarcasm and jokes to Malacite these days ;_;.

I never said I was taking it seriously, especially saying it was a blog lol.

Mal I don't think Disney is going to screw anything up for Marvel. If they do, I'm pretty sure we'd all hear about it and Disney's name would definently be the first word in the article.
