As much as Spidey3 sukt... I really am getting tired of Hollywood's QC being toHighlander everything (Aliens/AvP, T3/4, etc.)

Yea, I didn't like Spiderman 3 either. Hopefully this reboot will give us a much more entertaining Spidey.

The "new chapter" will tell of a high-school-age Peter Parker, the alter ego for comic book crime fighter Spider-Man who had been played by Tobey Maguire, dealing with human issues as well as super-human predicaments, Sony and Marvel said.

Yeah.............................So basically its going to be Spiderman: Twilight Edition? Might as well cast Robert Pattinson as Peter Parker. SMH, but seriously I'm still interested in how they pull this off. Makes me wonder if they're going to pull the plug on the Venom movie as well, or maybe they already have lol.

How is this really any different from being a Spider Man 4? It doesn't hide the fact that it's a blatant attempt to continue milking the franchise. I'm really getting tired of almost every movie being released being "Xth installment of <series>". Somebody drive a wedge into Twilight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and yes, as much as I love the Spider Man movies, Spider Man already. Of course, this not an exhaustive list.

You do realize that Harry Potter isn't really any longer than it was intended to be, and there's quite a bit of canonical stuff (like dumbledore being gay) that isn't mentioned in the books at all that could be an easy excuse to write more, right? All things considered, Rowling has done an incredible job in keeping the series from being milked dry.

To my knowledge both Twilight and Harry Potter will only go with how many books are/were written. Yes I realize the last installment of Harry Potter will be split into two movies.

There are much better examples out there of sequel exploitation. The thing is Hollywood has been doing remakes, rehashes, knockoffs for a long long time. Occasionally you'll get a new idea but why be super creative when you can can steal an idea and still make money. I am not defending the writers, producers, directors or anyone else responsible, but I am saying the times we are in now aren't much different than before. You want new stuff? Support your local independant film maker.

No, this is going to be Spiderman: Spiderman Edition. You do realize one of the most important aspects of the Spiderman story is Peter dealing with his personal issues at home and at school, right? All versions of Spiderman's story do the same exact thing.

I heard rumors of a Fan 4 reboot (since the second one was terribad) but I haven't heard anything about a new reboot for the Hulk. Seeing as the newer version has already set up a sequel (The Leader anyone?) as well as tied itself in to the Avengers movie, I can't see them scrapping all of that just to reboot it. Especially since it wasn't a bad Hulk movie at all.
