There might be a topic like this out there already, but I didn't want to steal thunder from the Iron Man thread.

I had emailed my brother to tell him about how good Iron Man 2 looks, but him being the ultimate Batman fan, all he wanted to know was when Batman 3 is coming out.

There is a list of future movies that have years listed for both DC and Marvel on Wikipedia. (Possible Release Years)

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_Marvel_Comics]List of films based on Marvel Comics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_DC_Comics]List of films based on DC Comics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Before I looked at the list I told him I thought Batman was supposed to be coming out in 2011, but after looking at the wiki list, it is listed at 2012. I figured it wouldn't be released that year because Avengers was going to be released in 2012. If it was released in 2011 it'd possibly have too much competition from Spiderman 4, Thor, and Captain America, so maybe 2012 would be a good year since it'd only have to compete with Avengers, and I got a feeling that that both will be big movies. DC Will also have backup from the Superman Reboot if it is released in that same year.

I guess they are going to act like Superman Returns was never made and start from scratch. At one time I heard that they were thinking about doing a Darker Version of Superman... So basically Superman will now be a angry version of Dr. Manhattan?!

Speaking of Batman/Superman, I remember seeing a snippet pic in "I Am Legend" at the very beginning of the movie as a poster with the Batman and Superman logos together. While I was reading that Superman Article, I ran across this:

I remember hearing about them wanting to do a Batman Vs. Superman movie a good while ago, so seeing that pic was kinda interesting to me lol.

I didn't know a third batman was even confirmed. I know that Nolan said he wasn't even sure if he wanted to a third, and if he did he had no idea how he would actually make it.

Well, clearly not having Heath Ledger to reprise The Joker is a problem. While it would be hard for anyone to buy that they just locked up the Joker and he never got out again would be a tad unrealistic considering its the Joker and Arkham Asylum's security is pretty flimsy.

Still, they could shift focus back to Ra's or work on another villain. I mean, he is technically immortal. And its not like The Joker is the only villain Batman ever had. Bane, Black Mask, Catwoman (though she veers toward heroine a bit), Hugo Strange, The Penguin (the Gotham mob is ripe for a takeover), the Riddler (Johnny Depp would be a shoe-in there).

Hush would be awesome, though, one of the current best villains in the comic. In fact, if you want your Batman Vs. Superman question answered, go pick up the reprint of the graphic novel Hush was born out of. Art by Jim Lee, story by Jeph Loeb. Its pretty hot stuff.

I'm wondering how it is going to work out for Ryan Reynolds. He is Reprising his role for the Deadpool movie to come out in 2011 and also he was announced as being the one to play Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern movie that will be out the same year.

I'm sorry, but I'm still waiting for Speed Racer 2.

            OK no. <_<;

After that trailer I'm more interested in Kick-Ass than in any other hero movies really. Although I enjoyed Ironman (and Tropic Thunder XD ) with Downey Jr. And I don't see myself being very excited about the new Batman film since The Joker is already dead.

I've never read the Hush comic so I had to look it up (Thanx Wikipedia!!). It sounds like it would make a awesome movie for the Riddler to star in as a villain, but it also has parts for Nightwing and Robin who probably won't be in the movie arc since Christian Bale is supposed to be a "Early Years" Batman.
              The Dark Knight Movie Spoilers
Scarecrow seems to like hanging around so they might be able to bring him back as a supporting villain as well.

I Wiki'd Batman TAS to see which villains they could possibly use from that series, how about Johnny Depp as "The Mad Hatter" instead of The Riddler. (Would be kinda funny since he's playing The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland.)

Interestingly, Johnny Depp portrays the Mad Hatter in the 2010 film version of Alice in Wonderland, directed by Batman (1989 film) and Batman Returns director Tim Burton.
I don't know if I'd wanna see another Mr. Freeze movie. After "Batman & Robin" I have too many nightmares about Arnold Schwartzeneggar playing him.

Actors can't do that much about crappy directors and scripts. I wish they had left Burton continue instead of going the Happy Meal path.

But what's done is done. So I'm just glad Batman movies are decent again. I guess.

I saw the trailer for Dorian Gray a couple of weeks back, and his story looked similar to something I had seen before, but I just couldn't figure out where I'd seen it. Yesterday it hit me... The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Dorian Gray's character was in the LXG movie. I haven't seen that movie in a long time, I should buy it on Blu-Ray.

The sound is great, it was a very well made tranfer. And it's one of my favorite movies.

I just wish Connery had agreed to make a sequel.

Ben Barnes will be Dorian Gray. He also played Prince Caspian in Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I don't think it is League related, from the looks of it, the story will be based on the book. Dorian Gray (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I'll try to post the trailer when I get home.

Excited for/What I'd like to see:

1: Robert Downery Jr.'s comeback - Iron Man was way better than I'd ever hoped. I.M.2 will be better. Leading to crazy cross-overs and Avengers... Epic (hopefully not Failsauce). Can't wait for Sherlock Holmes... movie looks slick, stylish, and funny. Really glad to see this guy doing well after so many problems.

2: A Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire) on HBO... omg... sweetness... Screw Rome !!! Give me the Lannister's heads on pikes. I would audition for Hot Pie... seriously.

3: Batman continuing. Heath did a magnificent job but a actor's death has never stopped Hollywood before. I'd shy away from using the Joker for a couple of movies but ... the Joker never on the silver screen again is a hard thing for me to swallow.

4: X-men maybe getting back on track. X-men 1 was great.... but the sequel blew that outta the water. 3 floundered under the immense storylines they attempted to mash together and Wolverine was a joke. I hope this series gets back to the feeling X-men 2 had. That one actually felt like an X-men comic.

5: More LotR related movies by Wingnut and Peter Jackson. Haven't heard anything on The Hobbit for a while... Love to see him tackle The Silmarillion. Hoping there is no District 10^^ ... District 9 was great by the way. Poignant.

6: Batman + Darker Superman movie >>>> The Dark Knight Return: Frank Miller.

... proly more... those are the only ones I can think of atm.

I think I liked D-9's concept more than I liked the movie. I liked the way it was presented, but after a certain amount of time I started to dislike it. Main thing that killed D-9 for me was the F-Bomb, I mean srsly!!! Just because the movie is rated R, saying the F word 1 billion times doesn't make it 1 billion times better. If that was the truth Punisher WarZone would've been the best movie ever in life. The funniest thing was that it had a documentary type approach, and when I watched the original trailer I watched about the first 30 seconds and then I cut it off because I thought it was a documentary. Not too long after that I was in the movies and I saw the alien logo that had the "If you are a non-human you should not be in this area" or whatever the sticky says and then i saw the D-9 at the bottom. After I saw that I went and watched the trailer all the way through lol. I agree though, I'm hoping for no sequel for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if one was in the works.

A "dark" Superman? Nothing Frank Miller does is dark. Its all raw male fantasy and hyperbole with Miller. It can be funny sometimes, but its not dark at all. Just bloody. Sin City is the closest to dark he ever really got.

The current New Krypton/World Without Superman storyarc is pretty cool, though. I don't know how Geoff Johns gets so much story work done.
