/sigh Will this be another bastardization? Well at least I got a little chuckle at the end:

Sabertooth: Do you even know how to kill me?

Probably the only good scene in the movie. LOL

I don't think this will be all that bad. First off, no matter how bad X-Men III was, Wolverine was still the most awesome part of it and Hugh Jackman makes for a good Wolverine.

A comic book movie doesn't exactly have to 100% adhere to the source material to be a good flick. Batman and Spiderman had liberties taken along the way in their recent movie incarnations. You know how often DC goes back and forth with Joe Chill getting caught/not getting caught after shooting Bruce Wayne's parents? Fourteen years ago Zero Hour retconned it to make you question if Joe Chill was actually ever the suspect to start with. Infinite Crisis retconned to confirm he was the suspect and was caught. I'm willing to bet the take in Batman Begin matching that was more coincidence that planned.

The problem with superhero movies begins when the movies lose sight of the hero and what makes him a hero and when they let the villains and other cast members become the feature. This is where Shumaker's Batman movies went wrong, as well as where Spiderman 3 did. Joker may have been a scene-stealer in The Dark Knight, but Batman and Bruce Wayne were still heavily emphasized. Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes didn't take over the movie, they shared equal screen time to Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Wolverine actually has a lot of room to have liberties taken with him. He doesn't remember much of his past, being somewhat of an amnesiac, his mutation gives him a long lifespan, so that's carte blanche to write some things up however you want.

Yeah, yeah, I know in the comics Sabertooth and Wolvie undergo their transformation together and he's the archnemesis... but do you really want Sabertooth from the movies back? He didn't even talk much. Plus he was never really that interesting of an archnemesis to start with in the books.

He's saying that to Sabertooth in the clip, TGM, not Gambit.
My knowledge of Marvel history is bad at best. Didn't they do a series years ago about Wolverine's past. He was like the son of a wealthy landowner or something and Sabertooth was like his bastard half brother?
And, are they making Gambit a bad guy in this movie? He was always one of my favorites.

Ya ya, my son yelled at me for that. LOL Not quite paying attention as usual, I'm not good at multi-tasking.

Oh so Sabertooth was in it? The clip was a little jumpy for me. But then I do recall seeing a claw-like hand.

Well, hopefully they'll try to make him interesting this time.

Gambit is probably a hero, since he never showed up in the other movies, they probably are just taking liberties with him. He and Wolverine seldom get along, but I'm sure they'll team up in the end.

I thought I heard awhile back there was gonna be a Magneto Origin movie. If I remember correctly, it was supposed to come out either around the same time or the year after the Wolverine movie. A few months later it was scrapped and stated that it depends on how Wolverine does in the box office, if it does good then they'll make the Magneto movie as well. I think I heard at one time they wanted to do a Gambit movie as well so maybe this is their way of combining the two. I read the other day that they are gonna make a Deadpool movie, I think that's the one I wanna see lol.

Anyways I'm gonna go see the Wolverine movie regardless just because Wolvy and Gambit are in it.

Let me just say that the reason this stance was taken had to be because you were watching the movie trailer on your lap top. I went to see The Day the Earth Stood Still in the IMAX (DON'T GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! PLEASE DONT GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! IT SUCKED SOOOOOO BBAAAAADDDD!!!!!) and they showed that XMen Origins trailer in the IMAX. OMG... This movie looks so bad ass... This movie is taking the great Xmen movies we've loved so far and making it darker... Compare how Batman Dark Knight compares to the other batman movies, it's like that. Darker... And in the IMAX theatre... Bad ass... Seeing that trailor was the only redeeming moment of sitting for 2 hours in that theatre... And gambit is a hero in the movie it appears.

Oh! And that wolverine reply about cutting his head off... ROTFLMFAO!!!!

No actually I watched it on my 26" HDTV in 720p on my desktop computer. The reason I said that is because they always bastardize the comics in movies and Schreiber as Creed/Sabertooth.......someone needs to get fired for that casting. (Edit: Mane was a better pick imo. Creed/Sabertooth will probably have very few lines besides grunts and growls anyways. LOL) If I look at it from an impartial point of view, I'll say it looks mildly interesting.

Ya thats him at the end of the clip talking with Wolverine that I quoted in my OP. I originally put Gambit because my son and I were talking about the trailer when I was writing the post and we love Gambit. (Lots of fond memories when he was little. ^^) So, since I suck at multi-tasking, I screwed up and put Gambit instead of Sabertooth.

Well it's being done by Marvel Studios and they've done a very good job as of late. Speaking of which, Terrence Howard has been replaced by Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2 because Howard wanted too much money for the part (or at least that's 1 side of the story)

Also, I'm sick of ppl going on about the Dark Knight >_>

Yes it's very good movie, but I still love Tim Burton's movies and Mask of the Phantasm (arguably the best batman story ever)

Which reminds me, the new Batman Game has Mark Hamill! ^ _ ^ SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like they're goin with the Team-X concept of making a military team of Mutants, which wolvie, gambit and 'tooth are part of and when Wolvie goes rogue the rest try and take him out. So it's not so much of a "good guy/bad guy" thing but rather questionable morals type thing. So far all the info on the known mutants looks pretty comic accurate which is much better then X-3 could do. I have high hopes for this one...

My first impression on the casting of Sabertooth was that he is a decent actor, but he isn't big enough. They needed someone the size of Triple H Triple H - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia but if they couldn't act we'd rip them on that. I never liked how few lines Saber got in the first films, but maybe that actor sucked.
