Who should play Solid Snake?

so Pai Pai and I started talking about this, and I want to know, who do you think should play Solid Snake in the MGS film, and why?

Personally, I'm going to go with Chuck Norris.


Why? Because he doesn't look just like Snake, but he's similar enough to pull it off, and he's already got experience acting like a serious badass. And you know what else? I can imagine sitting down in my seat, the projector turning on, and hearing, in Chuck Norris' voice, "Kept you waiting, huh?"

And it sounds good.

Pai Pai went with Kurt Russel.


Why? Because Pai Pai is on drugs. And he needs help.

And Snake was actually based partly on Kurt Russel, infact he even used the codename "Pliskin" (from the Escape from XX movies) in MSG2. I mean look at this pic and say you don't see Solid Snake http://www.movieactors.com/freesefra...FromNY213.jpeg

However, while that would have worked well a few years ago, I think they'd need a younger face for the movie. I'd rather they go with an unknown then some big name actor.

David Wenham is my pick. He looks the part, can do the action, and has proven from 300 that he can carry a voice like that throughout a picture.

No one can do Snake's voice like Hayter, but he could be the next best thing, I think.

Dude, that might actually be pretty awesome.

Although I've never seen 300, and all of the clips I've heard are yelling ("THIS IS SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARTA", "TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!", etc.) so I can't imagine him just talking, but he certainly looks up to it.

I mean, I guess this is the part where I come clean and say that my only real judge of how good a Snake someone is is how giddy I get when I imagine the opening credits coming to a stop and hearing them say "Kept you waiting, huh?".

He has done some acting. Most notably in Guyver 2: Dark Hero.

They should just take the dude Pai suggested and have Hayter's voice dubbed over his.

Making a MGS movie would be redundant. They already did that with the games.

Also, if there had to be a movie. Hugh Jackman would be perfect.

I don't know, I've always thought Keifer Sutherland would do an awesome job as Solid Snake or at least one of the brothers. It would involve a lot of make up to make him look the part though.

....after sitting through a (one of many) 45 minute long CS in MSG4 yesterday...I have to agree with OMG. The "games" are more movie then game nowadays.
