White Stripes & AFI

What ya'll think of them. I like them alot since they aren't really to conforming to the norm and their style is quiet good. AFI- a fire inside is pretty tight too. check em both out if u haven't got anything on them.

Don't really like either of them, the White Stripes are OK and AFI has like two songs I like. NME sure loves the White Stripes though.

wat type of music do u traditionally listen to?

I normally listen to hard rock, real Gothic, and pretty much everything in between. I try to have a diverse taste in music, and I will give anything a chance at one point or another. I am also a member of management at Hot Topic, so that exposes me to a lot of new bands. Although it seems the current trend in the music is a resurgence of punk and new wave. It is nice to hear some of the new wave come back, although a lot of it is not that great.

Anyway, I have digressed from the topic. I, personally, do not like The White Stripes, but I do enjoy AFI. I was not so sure that I would like them as they seem to fall into this new wave of punk, and I am FAR from a fan of punk music in the slightest. It is not my taste, so I was surprised by them. I would recommend them to anyone, but I am not a fan of The White Stripes. We have the albums in the store, and I have never really been a big fan of their music though.

I like the White Stripes video; 'Fell in Love with a Girl'. Very unique (Lego owns. ). That's about the extent of my liking for either of these groups.

Indie, classic rock, power metal, speed metal, thrash metal, britpop.

wow that's odd, that is where I am trying to get a job too.. anything I should know about how u guys pick people? cause like I'm 16.. in between mostly every social order.. and pretty much just normal cept for that my personality is very diverse and random.

I like the White Stripes because they're a throwback to the simple, pure rock of the 60s and 70s. They're sound isn't processed, enhanced, or any of that stuff, they keepin' much more real than most other bands out there, and I appreciate that. That and Michael White's voice strangely fits perfectly into their style.
