Re: The greatest televised moment in history

Canada did not exist as a separate entity until 1867 (even then Canada's sovereignty is debatable prior to 1967). The War of 1812 was between Britain and the US. There has been no official hostile action between the US and Canada.

You, and the vast majority of Canadians, need to learn some history before you spout off this nonsense. Saying Canada attacked or was at war with the US is as stupid as saying India attacked the White House.
I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.

HTTP Error 418 - I'm A Teapot - The resulting entity body MAY be short and stout.

I'm well aware that we were still a colony, but regardless of that fact we were still Canada then.

Then should be also well aware of the following:

          a) Canada has never fought Americans.
          b) Saying otherwise makes you look stupid.

There was no 'Canada.' There was Lower Canada, Upper Canada, Acadia/Nova Scotia and St. John's Island. These were populated by British subjects, French subjects and Natives. The British thought of themselves as British, the French as French and the Natives when about their lives. There was no entity called Canada until Confederation.
