OK I hate when that happens, any who some shows do write there whole show before it airs mostly cartoons do not a lot of them do but some. Also South Park is to immature for my standers, its not like I don't get the show I just think its stupid, and aimed at immature kids.

Now as for the strike it sucks balls, but things happen and people go on strike all the time remember the trains in NYC and the Buses in London. Crap like this happens all the damn time.

This is going to mean more shitty 'reality TV' shows ; ; Not that I'm particularly thrilled with most of the scripted dribble on TV, but even Charmed would be better than Survivor/American Idol bullshit.

Nowadays I'm down to watching nothing but Food Network, Metalocalypse, and Meerkat Manor. :/

No offense, but if you honestly think South Park is in any way aimed at 'immature kids' or rather 'immature' people in any way, then no, you don't get the show. South Park is easily one of the most intelligent shows on TV because it takes current events and news items and shows just how ridiculous some things can be.

While I *hate* pretty much *all* reality shows, I will say there might be one golden gem coming out this year. Two words:

        American Gladiators.

YES!!! When I heard they were remaking that, it made my month...except for one thing: When I was a kid, I wanted to be an AG contestant when I grew up soooooo freaking badly...now that I'm 24 and have been removed from high school sports for 7 years, I'm pretty out of shape and would probably die if I attempted that obstacle course at the end.

That is actually more expnsive to each customer.
they would charge more per channel than they do for a bundle right now.
Which is pure BS. A la carte programming would force companies to be competitive. Yes, you might spend more if you buy every channel you'd get in the bundle anyway, but the chances that you actually would use that many is slim.

word for word what we are told
Which is pretty much your problem.

Anyway, honestly there is very little left worth watching on TV. Pretty much everything that is worth watching can be seen free on broadcast, or the internet, or bought on DVD.

Not to mention with things like Vuze, iTunes, and other various internet entertainment type services, there's plenty out there to keep people entertained if they're willing to pay for their content on their PC.

Really, at this point almost anyone would be fine and happy with a broadcast antenna, DVD player, PC, and high speed internet connection. TV will be all but dead in a decade if there aren't very large changes.

TV is still alive and well, and will be for some time to come.
