It was a good movie. I wasn't even a fan of Transformers like that, but it was just awesome. I like the concept of "how" they were able to choose their forms as well, that was pretty kool. Kinda wished that Optimus Had the whole Trailer and shebang as well tho woulda made that House scene funnier

Fight scene at the end? Classic recap. It was pretty one sided tho, but yeah, it was awesomely epic.

Also, fastest I'd ever seen a person run. He needs to try out for he Olympics.

Mhurron, Optimus having flames affected me adversely for about a /wait 2. Just seeing a figuratively realistic interpretation of an 80s Cult Phenomenon was good enough for me.

You're knocking a movie for product placement when the basis of the source material was to sell toys to children? This flick can't not be about product placement and merchandising

Its a two-hour ad for toys that happens to be entertaining.

Next you're gonna tell me the Spiderman movies were to put some money back into Marvel. Naw, and here I thought Ghost Rider and The Punisher were arthouse flicks.

Yes. Because there's a difference between selling cheap pieces of plastic and vehicles that cost tens of thousands of dollars. I don't mind merchandise based on a series (or vice versa), I do however mind trying to tie it to something unrelated just for the sake of cash.

Don't forget, they tried to place vehicles that would fit the persona of the characters. Also, it had to do with what company would want their car placed in the movie for what's it worth. Hell, chevy gave them use of a concept car for Bumblebee's new form. 1, that shows trust, 2, I doubt well see the concept car being affordable by anyone's standards. 3, Sucks for BW cause they missed out on being used for a movie that sold out all showing on july 4th >_>; Don't forget, getting companies to sponsor their cars for the movie did help save on production costs, which really can help in high budget movies like this.

A lot of stuff was just obvious, like Optimus, Barracade and Starscream. (wish I knew the names of the other ones but uhm.. the tank, and the Crane thing also were obvious)

That scene when they were leaving the Dam and were otw to the city.. With some different music, it could have been a car commercial.

The "GMC" logos were very evidently obvious.

As were the Apple logo on the laptop, and the Cisco phones in the Government office. Hell, there was even a Cisco logo on a card that was slightly blurred when the Secretary of Defense tried picking up the phone. (We sell and implement those phones at my job for other companies, so I knew it at first glace.)

Soundwave was my favorite Decepticon and I was VERY dissapointed about that!

Off topic:

1. The movie was sweet
2. Some of the fight scenes were a little too fast/blury to really see
3. Optimus looked awesome
4. I hope they come out with a movie for everything I ever loved
5. Steven Spielburg does nothing but add funding and hype to movies. (making them better)
6. Why is that that little crazy (soundwave wanna be) touched the cube and regenerated, while Bumble Bee couldn't regenerate his legs?
7. Why is that every time that cube made something come to life, it became so murderous? (as opposed to 50/50 murderous and non-murderous)
8. That kid from Holes was frickin awesome and that girl, damn!
9. Why is that all the Transformers had to examine a vehicle to become it, and Megatron was just a jet? Wasn't he supposed to be a gun anyway?
10. At the end: (Hey girl, wanna make out? Sure. Hey, Bumble Bee, can we make out on you? Sure. Dudes, turn into cars and don't look okay? Sure.)
