    Meh, I honestly liked T3, sure, some of the points are valid, but at least its not like they didn't try to take the previous movies into consideration. Also, the youtube vid post doesn't work, no longer avaliable ;;

      The problem with AVP is more or less the fact it totally ignores its Dark Horse comics origins, which led to the video games in time. Crossovers work wonderfully in comic books and video games because both are dynamic medium, they're the ultimate form of fanservice because they really aren't rigged to make sense at all, they're just done for fun.

      So you have a movie, that became a comic book, which became a video game and ... became a movie.

      Recipie for disaster because movies, when done, are pretty much cemented in the minds of viewers. Movies are cannon. On a personal level you might be able to say something doesn't count as a sequel, but its pretty much cannon when its made for mass public consumption. We can all pretend Matrix Revolutions and Alien 4 didn't happen, but there's a reason we probably haven't watched them more than once - its cannon and they went too far.

      AVP is something that was never cannon made cannon. And by being a video game product beforehand cursed any hopes it had of being a good flick.

      Has there ever been a good video game movie?

      Advent Children, the first Mortal Kombat, maybe the Pokemon movies... anything else as pretty much been a complete and utter travesty of filmmaking. Resident Evil was based on zombie flicks, given the genre to work with its pretty hard to rise above it, especially with Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days out there. Hell, Dead Rising as a video game actually came closer to the movies.

      Anyway, I ramble. I accept T3 for what it is, though T2's Terminator still had the most heart. T3's Terminator still had the best "I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle" moment. Traumatizing the psych ward director further was a bonus.

        As a former pokemon fan (Cut me some slack, I was 10.), I have to say that at least Pokemon 2000 wasn't a bad movie, again given the fact that I was 10, compared to the rest of the series. You want disappointment, let's talk about Hey You, Pikachu!
