Way besides the point, but I thought it odd they never did anything with the huge snake-like tongue. If they did, I missed it and it was underplayed a lot. All they really touched on was the teeth, and they kept always withdrawing it from around his face so they could show Topher more, also weird that his teeth were all weird even when it was Brock's head. Don't recall that being the case at all.

I have not seen it yet, but just chill out. I mean, there is always the next movie they may show more of Venom no? Maybe even go off of what the fans want and improve venom? I have no idea what happened to him so I was just saying lol. Batman ftw.

I pray that they don't make anymore movies after this last one. Damn near everyone involved says they won't be on board for a 4th, and if there's anything that could make the series exponentially shittier, it would be pulling a "Batman & Robin." As much as some of us disliked SM3, there's no denying SM4 could be worse starring effing Heath Ledger or something, directed by Joel Schumacher.

Mini-rant

Nope, they incinerated venom with little effort, more or less cementing the fact that not only will he not show up anymore but they'll have to REALLY stretch to bring in Carnage. Venom is THE biggest of Spiderman's villians, having all his strength and then some, being able to bypass his Spidersenses (which the movie COMPLETELY ignored anyhow) and knowing ALL of Parker's secrets. Eric Forman (not even Topher Grace, he spoke/moved/acted just like he did on That 70's Show) was a HORRIBLE choice for Eddie Brock and especially Venom. Eddie Brock was a bully and a jock, a muscle bound goon who had no trouble breakin rules to get what he wanted, but in this film he was just as scrawny and just as whiney as Parker himself. On top of that, they took what could have been a major point in the Parker/Brock rivalry and turned it into a HUGE continuity error. Eddie was mentioned by name in the first one as not being able to get pics of Spidey, using the fact that Parker could consistantly trump him for two years running would have added a much bigger reason for Brock to be bitter. But then again, everything and anything in any way shape or form dealing with the black suit/symbiote was complete crap. The 'space rock falling next to parker' origin has got to be the lamest thing I have ever seen.

As for the Goblin, he started off great, even his 'convienent amnesia' was something that appeared in the comics iirc. But the end, with the whole random butler thing, it was again a wasteful plot device. Then there's also the fact that they never even referred to him as the Hobgoblin, even in the end credits they called him the 'New Goblin'. Such a simple little thing and they couldn't even get that right.

But then again, The Sandman was treated no better either. Forced into a sentimental roll, shoehorned into an un-needed, continuity bending flashback and over-all treated more like a horrible plot device then an actual villian. I can see why they chose him, being one of Spidey's oldest foes (originally beated by a vacuum cleaner) but how they used him in this film was just bad.

I could go on and on and on about how badly they messed up this movie, but the overall point that seems to bother me is that they wasted a LOT of potential. They took one of the most unique, interesting and dramatic story arcs in the Spiderman lore and shoehorned it into this film, while creating unneeded, overly forced drama between Parker and MJ, opening up numerous, totally unwarrented continuity errors, wasting multiple characters who could have done so much more and just generally said 'screw trying to make an intelligent movie, lets fill it with CG to make more money!'. The first two Spiderman films were great, two of my favorite films, but this one was just bad. The Incredible Hulk kind of bad.

Didn't Raimi say he was done? What I heard was that the only way any of them would do a 4th (Raimi, Maguire, Dunst, and producer Laura Ziskin) is if all the others agreed to do it. Which seems unlikely that they'll all get on board, which means none will be on board, if this is the case.

If you ask me the only Batman movies that count are the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton movies, all the rest were Effing Crap -100.

On top of that, every other Superhero movie I've seen I come away from saying it sucked. No I don't go out to see them, the wife to be likes them, I get stuck with them on TV.

I think Marvel is really trying their damnedest to milk every franchise they have by running it into the ground. I mean, Daredevil blew, Ghost Rider blew, Fantastic 4 blew, X3 blew. I don't know why they felt it necessary to drag good ol' oddball Silver Surfer into the crap-net.

I could go for a DareDevil & Spiderman movie. But who would the villians be?

But damn, where's a Batman & Superman team up. It's LONG over due. I'm not sure about vs. Joker & Lex. Maybe throw in 2 more villians. I'm sure Bats and Supes can take them on.

Best scene in Spiderman 3 is defently the Bruce Cambell scene. Oh and the Stan Lee scene as well. I love cameos.
