Ain't It Cool News has the very, very, very first review up of the upcoming Simpsons Movie. If you're a fan of the show and you're looking forward to the film I highly recommend reading it. It's definitely laid to rest any worries I had about the film not being as top-quality as it could be.
There's one thing about The Simpsons that will always keep people today from regarding it as highly as they might have once done so, but that's simply because it's such a long-running show. This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons themselves, from their original debut on The Tracy Ullman Show in 1987. While I was afraid that the film would not embody the greatness of the last 400 episodes (well, Episode 400 airs in May), it's a relief to see that the first review of the film was so extremely positive, especially considering the movie isn't complete yet.
After reading the review I'm trembling in anticipation for the movie. July 27th can't come soon enough.
