Amazon sale on Blu-ray movies (PS3 owners that like movies take note!)

I don't normally take notice when things go on sale, but as a PS3 owner I couldn't ignore this sale:

50% off of MSRP off of 47 high definition Blu-ray movie titles from Sony, 20th Century Fox, and Magnolia Studios through Amazon.com!

If you own a PS3 and an HDTV, this is probably the best chance you'll get in quite some time to pick up some of these titles for this low a price (I bought 9!).

Bought Kingdom of Heaven, but I don't have it shipping until Super Paper Mario is released so I could combine it for free shipping.

If (notice emphasis on it) they ship BDs here like they do with DVDs then I'm gonna buy a few of them.



Of course the way things are looking I might have to settle for a 720p display for the time being since I can't get anything 1080p capable in this place for a decent price.

Oh man. It's a shame I have like half the movies on that list.

I guess big sales like this are the downfall to being an early adopter. XD

You could send those BD movies to my Moghouse and take advantage of the sale buying the movies again at half price!

Blu-ray is going to absolutely DECIMATE HD-DVD this month. Between this sale and the fact that the only HD-DVD exclusive title releasing this month is Children of Men, look for the sales figures to tilt excessively towards Blu-ray.

Incidentally, this sale will be going until March 27th, 2007, so you have a little under 3 more weeks to pull the trigger if you're interested in any of these titles.
