Re: Aqua teen movie guerilla ads scare up Boston

OMFG, I just watched the little video clip, and they thought THAT was a bomb? Like it wasn't obviously some marketing gimmick or stunt some kid pulled it must be a BOMB?

And actually this is nothing, some kids made those little square ? boxes like you see in mario and hung them up around places, in trees and stuff, and those were considered bombs as well.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

Yes, I remember the Super Mario ? Block Bomb Scare as well and thought it quite stupefying. I'm surprised people don't go running scared through the streets when every errant piece of trash, outsider art, or marketting device that's not on tv or a billboard could be considered a bomb. Is that a soda can or a deadly incendiary? Better DETONATE it to be sure. Heaven for fend some 4th of July reveler detonate a real explosive device aka an M-80 and cause massive heart failure in 90% of the overly-fearful populace just like scaring a rabbit to death (Rabbits and some other rodents cannot control their heart rates well like humans so it is possible to kill a cornered rabbit by freaking it out Rabbit Care Tutorial), soon, terrorists may not even have to use explosives... Just say "Boo!", throw a discarded paper towel roll and wipe out half of New York city.

Maybe i should invest in a large box of those Snap Pop things that they love to sell during Independence Day season and see how many one has to set off before the bomb squad arrives to "detonate" them. I'm sure the Bomb Squad detonation will be far more entertaining that the novelties themselves. (A Snap Pop is a little piece of paper with some tiny "rocks" inside shaped sort of like an um... yeah... one of those little guys. When you throw it on a hard surface it responds with an exuberant "POP!" and the occasional wisp of smoke).

Whoah, people must be really traumatized to take this thing and blow it waaaay out of proportion like they did.

What scares me is that traumatized and fearful people will accept anything the goverment tells them that is "for their own safety".

I wonder when the US goverment is gonna decide that the only way to be safe is killing everyone else on the planet so no one "threatens" the US.

          Freaking insane people.

Yeah this was really funny. The best thing was the fact that it was the top story for CNN. At least ATHF is getting some great exposure. Makes me want to watch it even more.

What scares -me- is that it takes 70,000 dollars to safely dispose of small boxes. I'd hate to think what it'd take to get rid of -actual- bombs. They should streamline the process a little bit.

I found the funniest part to be that Boston mobilized it's entire terrorism response squad to deal with the ZOMG Horror of the Lite Brites....and they *still* managed to miss a bunch of them (they found 4 out of 10 according to one report)!

Might as well just run an freaking banner ad over the city saying "In the Event of an Actual Emergency We're Pretty Much Worthless, Enjoy Your Illusion of Security Though!"

Ok, Someone please make a "All your base are belong to us." music video using the still images of the mayor of Boston, along with the "blinking box" flipping people off.

Com'n Jibjab! I know you guys would do something like that!

What I found funnier then that was the fact that all the lights had been out for 2-3 weeks before they were even noticed.
