Battlestar Galactica *spoilers within*

I'm hoping I'm not the only one on here who's been following this show religiously. Definately one of, if not THE best SciFi show I've ever seen. Brilliant writing, great characters, fantastic storyline, and all around awesomeness make it a show I can't wait to watch each and every week. If you haven't seen it before, I suggest you rent the original miniseries and start from there, because it only gets better.
Anyway, the Season 3 premiere was on last Friday and brought in a lot of new things.
Hoping to find out everyone's opinion on the show and maybe get some discussion on theories about what will happen this season. Also if you've only seen bits and pieces of it, I (and hopefully Tax and some others) will do my best to answer any questions and fill in the blanks.

Couple theories for Season 3

I'm thinking Baltar may be a Cylon. Yeah, it seems kind of obvious, but they still haven't explained how he survived a nuclear blast.
Don't think Kaci is actually Starbuck's kid. I'm probably wrong on this, but think it could just be a ruse by the crazy cylon guy.
Just based on all the flashes of footage for season 3, doesn't look like they're going to be on New Caprica for long, maybe one or two more eps I would think.
Don't think Roslin is dead, she seems too important a character to kill off in the first episode.

Anyway, really looking forward to see how it all plays out and hoping for many more seasons to come.

This show ROCKS!! It's up there with the best like Stargate SG-1!! (yeah it's THAT good)
I loved the new series. The end of season 2 left in such a cliffhanger!! I almost broke my TV!!!
Anyway, fantastic opening episode!! Loved it every second! I was NOT expecting it. Seriously, the Cylons were there for peace? WHAT?!?! They must have blown a few critical circuits
once again, FANTASTIC SERIES!! Can't wait until next week

BSG is one of my favorite TV shows ever. Certainly my favorite Sci-fi show. But I already talk about it at two other forums. I just can't do it again.

Offhand, some Season 3 speculation...

I suspect that there is actually a fair chance that the little girl is Starbuck's, by some fluke. Although to be honest, she does seem a bit old. I'm still not altogether sure if her being kept like that is something specific to Leoben, or if it's a larger Cylon plot.

I hope hope hope that Roslin isn't dead. There is always the chance that she'll only show up like Six/Gina does with Baltar (and vice/versa), but I'd like to think that she survives the mass shooting. It's certainly possible to do so.

So far I just don't know who to peg as a Cylon. I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete. We've currently seen 7 of 12 models, so obviously the writers really need to get the most bang for their buck on the last 4 (or just create new models beyond that). The best way to do this would be with another sleeper agent like Sharon. But on the other hand, that might seem trite.

I don't think Baltar is one though. Although he sometimes does make a person wonder.

Definately one of, if not THE best SciFi show I've ever seen.

I'd say it's the best show, of any channel or genre. The season premiere confirmed it.

I really didn't like the miniseries all that much, but I ended up watching the series premiere and immediately fell in love. 33 is still one of my favorite episodes, and barring a few rough patches in season 2, the entire series has been fantastic so far.

And I think it's pretty clear that the shots at the end of the last episode were from Sharon's team. The good Sharon, as I'm convinced the one that met up with Anders is a fake sent to inflitrate the insurgents. But if you listen closely, the gun shots do not sound like Cylon arm cannons (SciFi has been repeating the episode pretty much every day, and I get suckered back into it each time I catch it).

I wonder if Roslin will end up being a Cylon. She comes back and makes a claim that she got away just in the nick of time. I feel sure that a main character will end up being a Cylon, and I'm sure I'll be pissed when we do find out who it is. Atleast glad in a small way that Jammer did something of the right thing at the end of the ep. Apollo fat makes me laugh and feel disturbed at the same time.
If it does end up being Starbuck's kid then I'd like them to explain why that child isn't important to the Cylon's plan, but Sharon and Telo's kid is.
Also seems from the previews that atleast a fair amount of them get away and abandon New Caprica altogether since they Cylons say they're going after Earth now too.

BSG is the best show on television by far. This season got off to a great start too. I am glad to see the show is still on top its game after the long break between seasons 2 and 3.

It is a good show, but still the original is the best for a cult sci-fi freak like myself. My favourite sci-fi TV series is still babylon 5.... (braces for the flames )

The original series was fun and all, but the new one really takes the entire idea to the next level, IMO. I was skeptical for a long time about Battlestar Galactica. Everyone told me to check it out and I was like "Nuuuuuu!"

But seriously. It's worth a look.

Man, every freaking issue of Rolling Stone that I get in the mail has to mention BSG at least 2-3 times. The staff over there is in love with it. I haven't seen it, but they claim it's really good because it transcends the sci-fi genre. They were saying that it was the most accurate portrayal of post 9-11 America of any show. Weird. But it sounds interesting.

Oh yea and theres that.. if the show doesnt air on my cable, ill prolly never get to watch any of it.

So i'd be forced to download it, and i dont download stuff i dont know if ill like or not.. but i might, later, who knows.. if i find a link.
