Too bad the Simpsons jumped the shark after Season 7... ironically in Season 8 the episode with "Poochie" deals exactly with that issue.

We can only hope that they keep making new Simpson's episodes after the movie is finished (since the movie may be the series finale or something to that effect )

Unfortunately Not... They said the reason why they never made a movie is because they couldn't warrant a storyline long enough for one.. instead of a long ass episode (ala FG)
They also said that the movie would come at the end of the series. So... Good bye Simpsons... I always wanted a movie.. but the show could go on for 20 more years if I had my way. I've been watchin since the Tracy Ullman shorts as well... I was barely old enough to talk back then...

That quote was a long time ago... Before they decided to get the cast back until I think 2009. Anyway there will be episodes after the movie... I'm pretty sure of it. The Simpsons still brings in viewers.
