Silent Hill movie

Ok so most people have probably seen the preview for it, so who besides me will go see it? It looks like to me that this will be one of the only ones that will be as close to the game as it comes. Grant it it wont have any of the main characters from the games but it would be nice to see some influence or history about who came before.

Plus the deamons look really good and almost spot on from the games,and is has that dark twisted out look on hell and how it might be.

Anyone else think this way or am I the only wierd person here?

Was very good. Wasnt too much dialogue to ruin things, visuals were great, story was good and the ending didnt ruin the movie.

Honestly I dont think the previews did the movie justice. The previews make it seem this person is running through this hellish world all the time showing cuts from all the darkness scenes, rather than showing how the main character only encounters this randomly.

That movie was fucking pown. It had a very unique feeling to it the whole time and I just absolutely loved it :D

I'm a big fan of SH 1 and 2 and I think this movie did the games justice while not being such a direct copy that it got boring. Definately worth seeing in the theatre.

I enjoyed it. I don't want to spoil anything but I think the plot was very well-crafted and the special effects were amazing. In my opinion, the best video game adaptation movie I've seen.

I liked it, and for the same reason that it wasn't a dead on copy of the games, they changed it up, so you didn't quite know what was going on until the end, thats fine with me. Viewing it as just a movie independantly, without thinking about the game at all, I thought it was excellent.

Kinda funny, I heard it got horrible.. horrible reviews, and BAM, like #1 movie in america. Eat it critics!

The special effects were good but the story was mediocre in my opinion it could have been really good if it had a better story.

I definately agree LK. Although I think it did actually translate almost exactly like a video game put into live action... go here to get this, then take it to location 'A' type stuff. Ending was really weak though.
