Metal on the radio

Is it just me or is Nu metal really gay. I just can't stand it every time I turn on my radio It's Nu metal or Heavy Metal, some times I
feel like throwing up. Why can't they give power metal or speed metal? It makes me sick!!:mad:

As do I , but Nu metal has taken over the metal stations.
The only Heavy Metal band I hear is Metallica.(the only good band I listen to on the metal station)

Nu metal is like... Slipknot. Radio is worthless, just listen to a CD while driving.

I don't get how someone yelling at a mic is music. I usually stick to J-Pop/J-Rock... less bullshit.

It depends on what type of Metal your listening to. If its Slipnot, Disturbed or Mudvayne then of course its going to be retarded yelling and sceaming. There is Nu, Heavy, Gothic, Proggresive, Melodic, Thrash, Speed, Power and some other ones. They are all different. And I like metal because of guitar and drums, I love those solos.

Good: Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal (aka Melodic Metal), Speed Metal, Progressive Metal, Folk Metal.

Bad: Nu Metal, (most) Doom Metal, (most) Death Metal, (most) Black Metal.

Most metal songs are musical masterpieces. Much more complex than any other genre.

Ok, I'll agree that most death metal is bad, but what about melodic death? You can't listen to Suidakra and tell me that's bad.
