The Mars Volta although they go under prog rock I think, best band though.

I also enjoy U2, A Perfect Circle, Radiohead, Tool, System of a Down, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, REM, Linkin Park...and countless others. :sweat:

The Mars Volta..great band I agree guys.
I also like what Sparta has done, although not as much as TMV.
If you like either of those two obviously check out At the Drive In(for those who don't know, At the Drive in split...into Mars Volta and Sparta).
I'm a big Deftones fan personally, probably my favorite band in this day and age of pop-rock bull shit.

Some other bands which frequent my CD player are:
Glassjaw(the vocals are pretty unique. they change up their style quite a bit, some songs are very hard, some are almost light rock)
Dredg(not the best vocals, imo, but the lyrics are decent. also, great musicians in this band. the guitarrist, the bassist, the drummer are all very talented. Something you don't see much nowadays unfortunately.)

It's members of Finch and RXBandits with Anthony Greene of Saosin/Circa Survive singing, but it's not like emo or anything. It's some crazy ass prog/experimental/electo/pwnage.

I also define metal a bit different than most. Metal is hard rock minus the talent. So, what do you do when you have no musical talent? Play really loud and scream a lot.
More of a mid-90's fan myself. Nirvana, STP, Live. Rage Against the Machine had a few really good songs. Newer stuff would include Audioslave and Velvet Revolver. Maybe a few others I'm forgetting. I like several songs on the radio, but either its the only song I've heard from the band or I just have no clue who the band is and wouldnt know if I've heard any of their other stuff.
